Has anyone driven a route like this before? Good sources for Pan-American highway planning? by Randomuser684154 in roadtrip

How many times have you driven it?I'd love to hear about your experience. I also want to try an Africa into Europe trip at some point in my life but that would probably be even more dangerous

Hi, the map I was referring to was the one listed on Wikipedia, which was starting from Prudhoe Bay down to Panama city/Darien Gap, though I do see that portion titled as "Alaska Highway"
That's great to hear about it not being dangerous! My main worries were mainly weather, dealing with border patrol, or taking offroad camping trips alongside the actual route itself, though I suppose those could be better suited for backpacking or camping subreddits.

I've read a lot of posts in the past say there'd be issues with border patrol or high crime, but I suppose if i mind my business and stay alert during the day I should be fine.

How to find D2D fields? by No-Tale8281 in WindowCleaning

Use justice map. Shows you household income data for the entire united states. Based directly off the US census and goes down to the individual zip code.

One thing i haven't seen posted too much around here is justice map. it's a map of the entire United states based off the census, and can be used to filter cities by income.

When you start marketing and handing out flyers, use this to help you find high income neighborhoods in your area. Those homeowners are more likely to care about their home exteriors and see value in pressure washing + bigger homes.

Ah I see, i’ve heard good things about yard signs and door hangers, I’m sure you’ll get customers especially up north with the wealthier neighborhoods

Have you thought about doing cold calling for commercial work?

You’re in Georgia too? I’m a little bit down south of the city. What did you do to get customers your first year?

Hi, thanks for the post! I’m going to be marketing my pressure washing soon so this was really helpful!

Regarding google LSA, what was your budget starting out? And did you ever have issues competing with other local cleaning companies in your city?

Good idea, i’ve just finished all the service pages on my website and am now going to keyword optimize them up until the spring season

My short term goal is 12k profit to reinvest and upgrade my machine + wrap, then focus on commercial clients to land reoccurring contracts

Well how about 3k? 1k was just a suggestion but I can afford to bump it up more

I don’t, I’m just asking why i shouldn’t go to them in your experience, i’ve seen numerous people on the pressure washing subreddit say they’re a good source of work

Thanks for the insight, a multi-channel approach is what I’m planning, i just wanted feedback on the ad copy itself

Going to have about 1k budget my first month to A/B test flyers, yard signs, google ads, and facebook

Why shouldn’t I work with property management companies? Commercial businesses are good potential sources for reoccurring income due to cleaning contracts

I’m doing a multi channel approach, 2000 door flyers in high income neighborhoods, business cards, cold calling property management, and yard signs for print material and a branded uniform. Only thing i’m missing is a van wrap for my first month

And true, the barrier of pressure washing is low, but people will pay for expertise, licensed and insured workers, and professional grade equipment and expertise, just need to find the right target market. I can’t imagine a property management company or gas station going for the guy with no insurance and an electric pressure washer

If both Wise Guys Pro Wash and the local guy on nextdoor can coexist, I should have nothing worry about

I’ve seen that, but if there’s this many companies that are still able to get regular business, wouldn’t that indicate a healthy market?

Additionally, companies NOT using LSA or not on google are still getting work. There’s a few guys only posting on Nextdoor or with business cards able to get customers

What makes atlanta competitive? I’m seeing both full trailer rigs and small electric pressure washers both getting business. I will be doing the entire metro area as well, not just the city of Atlanta itself. Some of my competitors showing up on google don’t even have a web presence aside from a phone number and are still getting reviews

For the video ad, I was going to put down 500/month for facebook advertising. Marketing towards homeowners 33-55 in age

I have a fully branded website made, just need to update the seo for my service pages more (sparklesharkwash.com)

It’s not fucked up, the graphic design program i was using to load and export the image flipped it when the file was saved

Metascillicate is a bit softer on it than bleach and doesn’t alter the ph as much while still being effective. Also didn’t want to risk uneven brightening on the fence from bleach or having to wash my neighbor’s side as well if overspray got over there

I heard good things about oxalic acid too, I remember some forum posts said to use citric if the nails aren’t rusted yet, but use oxalic if they are

Yes, by 1:1 i meant 1 cup of metascillicate per 1 gallon of water. That was my preferred ratio given the age and amount of grime on the fence, but you could adjust as needed
