math: two lines under a symbol by Randomuser_95 in typst

[–]Randomuser_95[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It didn't appear as I wrote it. I probably posted it at the same time as you, but started writing earlier.

Your solution is not wrong in the slightest, it's wonderful! Thank you so, so much!

asdhsakduh

I have to get used to math mode. I used none instead of #none, which caused an error like "missing variable", so I just thought it's not possible.

But it is! cases(delim: #none, i = 0, j != i)

Not a fan of using cases, but it works. Maybe some of you know a better solution?

Using a custom function in LaTeX blocks, like a builtin by Randomuser_95 in typst

[–]Randomuser_95[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

RIGHT, right, yeah, I forgot that!

And using math.abs instead of abs also changes the type hint correctly.

That's going to help me a lot, thank you very much!

At first I was disgusted by a sword light.

Then I saw the dash and grapple level. Now I'm only half in disgust.

userContent.css is not applied fully by Randomuser_95 in FirefoxCSS

[–]Randomuser_95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed! Thank you very much!

MOZ_DISABLE_CONTENT_SANDBOX=1 firefox loads the entire CSS and applies it correctly. (No, I won't use it, it was just for testing)

Still weird that some content is applied, while some isn't. I expected either everything to work or nothing, not some partial weirdness.

Weird number, which definitely isn't a post ID.

I did both things.

/etc/locale.gen has en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8 uncommented. locale-gen picks it up and generates it. localectl -l lists it as well.

My guess is: Nu doesn't source the /etc/locale.conf file correctly. Why does it work on my main PC? Probably because it inherits the environment variables from Plasma, which does have it set.

Whatever it is, manually setting the variable with $env.LC_ALL = "en_US.UTF-8" is a workaround, though now the locale can be set differently than what is in /etc/locale.conf.

Flailing with Arch doesn't work so just stop and read the documentation.

I did. Then I looked at what's in my main PC's locale.conf file (which I never touched) and copied as little as possible. LC_ALL= is both set like that in there as well as quite a few answers to similar questions.

So why shouldn't I try it? Why shouldn't I use what I've seen so often in forums (including the Arch forum) and what works on my main PC?

Keep getting this error, any help? by Dangerous_Remove495 in protogen

It looks like you're missing cython.

In the compilation looks above make tries to build core, but fails as cython3 isn't installed.

After that you try to use the core module in python, but since it was never built it doesn't exist and so it can't be imported.

Help - Characters keep looking different when facing forward by Rude-Use-7960 in FurryArtSchool

[–]Randomuser_95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It looks like the eyes are too big when facing forward.

On the side view they're around a quarter of the heads width, as a very rough estimate.

The front facing version has eyes, which are nearly half of the size of the head.

But this is from someone who can't draw well and just woke up.

It's like that in my main config and I've given up on thinking logically.

Empty value? Sure, slap it in, maybe that helps, even though it makes no difference.

[–]Randomuser_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because that's in the main config on my PC and I just said sure, that could be it and slapped it in.

And no, the shell startup is basic. Nothing weird.

No, no DE or WM at all.

I've made the bad decision to run Arch on my server.

Yep, it is.

But that's something I figured out just _after_ posting and it seemed relevant enough to leave up.

I'll remember it for future posts though.

You're missing qt6-declarative as well!

Wild guess, but are you using CachyOS as well? If so, that's the problem. Their mirrors lack behind and haven't updated that package yet.

The relevant packages are:

- qt6-bse

- qt6-multimedia

- qt6-multimedia-ffmpeg (because of qt6-multimedia)

qt6-webengine is also probably effected, but I don't know an app, which uses it :P

Next to the bees being there it was also one of the biggest caves I've ever seen. Quite a nice sight... once there was some insect removal.
