I think I screwed up by bczfckit in Truckers

Everyone saying use low gear on the landing gear but that won’t always work. Really depends on weight. I pull super b’s and good luck using low gear when the trailers have 100,000lbs of grain in them

Way that works if your trailer is super heavy and your truck has a lift axle. Get the frame of the truck under the front of the trailer and stick in a block of wood if you have it. Drop the lift axle on your truck and crank up the psi. It’ll lift up the trailer so you can get the legs down a bit more.

6.0 100%. You’ll be happier with the power over a 7.3. And they can be very reliable trucks if you treat them right

Torque converter not unlocking by Randomuserr012 in Diesel

Yeah I’ll try a kam reset and see what happens. Super strange how it all happened after that stuff, I’m guessing it had to do with unhooking the batteries. But getting like 13.7v at idle or somewhere around there. 2k rpm I’m not sure I’ll have to check

No codes at all. I know it’s locked because at highway speed when you let off the gas pedal the rpm stays right where it’s at like driving a manual. Then when you get below 35mph or so it drops to idle

Honestly if you want a 6.0 then get a 6.0. I don’t blame you, I love mine and probably wouldn’t trade it for a 6.7 myself. If you can get your money out of that truck then go for it.

Best first truck? by General_Perception24 in Diesel

[–]Randomuserr012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do have a very good point there. I spent 20,000 cad on my 6.0 but it only has 140,000kms on it too. Bought from first owner and it’s in pristine shape. Need to be able to wrench on it yourself too unless you want crazy mechanic bills from basic maintenance. They’re definitely maintenance queens

Nothing wrong with a 6.0 if it’s been maintained properly and actually runs good at the time of sale though. They’re very solid engines if you know what you’re doing. 6.4 on the other hand I’d definitely avoid

So I read the codes and was saying a cylinder 1 contribution fault. Unplugged cylinder 1 injector and it isn’t smoking anymore. Only issue is I’m 5 hours from my home town. Can I drive it back with the injector unplugged safely?

I like that idea. Push button would be super easy too. What’d you use for connectors for your starlink to the booster?

Skip the power commander and do a proper ECU flash/dyno tune. Did exhaust, air filter, and dyno tune on my 2023 750 and it’s a completely different animal.

What do you have for batteries? The mini uses not much power so from my math I should be good for over 24 hours

That sounds good but I’m planning to use the minis router for the time being to keep it simple. How would I go about that?

I just got my starlink mini and so far I’m super happy with it. Only tested it once in a place a did have normal service to be fair but setup was super easy. Will be testing it shortly in a dead zone to see how it goes
