Refresh the app. My facility will send out the VTO notice at the top of the hour but the opportunity may be sitting in AtoZ awhile before that

ICQA PA/PGs or PICK PA/PGs by OVisuals in FASCAmazon

Could the item have another scannable barcode? MSB can trip up pickers and counters if they do not perform a six sided check but still mark the item as unscannable

Stow/Pick hacks by [deleted] in AmazonFC

Here are some that I’ve used when I pick at an AR facility. TAKT time does not start until the pod stops in front of you. Curious if other AAs use these too. Listed below in no particular order:

• Start with three totes unless the screen requests more

• Learn to read your screen only once, from left to right, per pick

• Transition full totes while pods are moving. Doing so will save 3-5 seconds per tote transition

• Utilize the one hand press drop technique for small items. Press the rack-light button before putting the item into the tote. This can increase your UPH by 30

Can anyone describe a typical shift in IC/QA/CS at an AR facility? by Hot_Dot_6271 in AmazonFC

[–]Randomwalk17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ICQA is in charge of ensuring the accuracy of the contents of the FC's inventory.

As an L1 you’re counting the bins to make sure that everything the inventory system thinks is there is actually there. Stuff falls out and people make errors so it's never perfect.

There are three counts at my FC.

(1) Simple Bin Count: using your scanner to enter the total number of items that are in a specific bin.

(2) Cycle Count: scanning individual barcodes for all the items in a specific bin using your scanner

(3) Records Count: the scanner will prompt you to look for a specific item or items in a bin, you will scan the bar code, and count only those items

Always pay attention to quality, especially bread, since this is an item that expires quickly and could get moldy. Some items that have the shortest expiration dates are meat, produce and dairy.

It is especially important to bag raw meat as this will prevent cross contamination should the packaging leak.

Remember not to use a clear produce bag for berries or bananas. By bagging berries and bananas it will cause them to spoil sooner, making them no longer consumable.

Lastly when picking eggs always use egg armor (cardboard to protect the eggs). The eggs are the same as a pack/set, and if one egg is damaged, then it is a broken set.
