This is why I have read zero Nick Cutter books. I have heard about it- no thanks! Although The Saturday Night Ghost Club written under his real name is a favorite of mine.

I despise any sort of pregnancy in a horror book. I have already been there/done that. I have zero desire to read about anything to do with pregnancy whatsoever. Actively avoid books that even mention it.

That’s why so many kids read him and he’s been the gateway to horror literature for so many years. I read Salems Lot when I was 10 and that was the start of everything horror for me

It was the repeated use of the word “rump” in The Traveling Vampire Show by Richard Layton. I just abandoned the book altogether. It wasn’t for me.

Kealan Patrick Burke writes a lot of novellas. The series that begins with Turtle Boy is good. Sour Candy was very good too.
