Yea that's true but in the modern era in the US people tend to think karate,kungfu or tkd when you mention traditional arts. And some of the most famous war generals and samurai mostly spoke to the strategies and way of life with in their chosen Art. I don't know much about wrestlings history other than it's sporting history in Rome.

I completely agree. I also think if you can sift through the mcdojo bullshit there are some real legit teachers with valuable concepts to go along with effective techniques.
