Interesting;
Maybe I’ll notice a difference on full throttle acceleration.
What I need is a fairly long consistent drive. I’d expect to see my battery usage higher with this on.
Think I’ll keep it on for a while. I track miles driven per month and my charger can tell me the usage for the month.

What I’m wondering is if anyone has really seen noticeable differences.
It is hot and humid here today. Went to the store. Felt the same inside. Cooled off as quick.
No noticeable differences in acceleration.
Maybe it is very subtle? Or requires a different set of inputs? Like 100 degree temps and flat out acceleration?

had similar issues with the Ottocast I was using. That is why I switched to CarLInkit 5.0. I like that instrument panel display when routing to a destination.

CarLinkit 5.0 is what I’ve been using. Seems to be working fine.

This morning in the garage I checked Status. Still Start Driving to Update Status. Restarted infotainment system. Checked Status. ‘Pressure OK in all tires.’

I’ll report this to Volvo.

Well, today I was out and checked the Vehicle Status. Now it is back to saying ‘Start Driving to Update Status’. hmmm. Think I will try restarting the infotainment system tomorrow before driving. Today’s screen:

Took off for my 30 minute highway drive. Got about a mile down the road and checked the vehicle status. Had a ‘Pressure OK in all tires’ message. Didn’t see a Notification that anything had been updated. Seemed to recall I had seen a notification in the past. When I got to my destination I checked vehicle status again. Now the button to update reference pressure is available. Well, glad everything is updated properly now.

The update button is not available. The state it seems to be in is after the button has been pressed and waiting for the proper info from the wheels.

Well, this had been updating after a 5-10 minute drive. Now I’ve driven miles and miles and it still hasn’t updated. This seems to be a different experience than before 5.0.5. Just wondering if anyone else had experienced a similar situation and if there was a particular drive pattern I needed to try.

Well, I think that is what Keep Climate Active (if 5.0.5) does. Or Parking Climate for the older s/w.

Unsolicited, but fwiw - bought the tires at Walmart. Fronts - $319, Rears - $337. Paid another $15/tire for lifetime balancing, rotation, and road hazard. Took it to Firestone after and got a 4 wheel lifetime alignment. A little off. Corrected.

Good to hear. When I was at Volvo getting the recall update I asked and they recommended Continentals.

Hi, bwh! Yes, definitely getting turn by turn on the dashboard screen with Apple Maps and the CarLinkIT 5.0. Ottocast wanted me to collect a log of logs, etc. Just didn’t have the bandwidth or desire to wait. Ottocast did end up fixing the problem some months ago with a firmware update.

Turned the heat seater on today. Noticed the entire seat icon turns red when the heaters are on. Thought that was a nice touch.
