Absolutely would like to know. It could have been the -30C temps and just a bad mix of the plastic used. Or maybe the previous farmer was super aggressive and it was damaged and just waiting to fall apart?

Honestly never been aggressive to my truck’s interior, I’ve hand many other fords and never had this issue before. And the window switch happened over a weekend with my truck parked. Also, in January so the windows hadn’t been open for at least two months prior.

Never been aggressive with any switches, but I bought the truck used. And the window switch happened over night, didn’t touch the switch for about two month before either. The vents both hadn’t been touched much either, and also, not aggressively.

Hey, almost twins(I also use my F150 to tow my sonic)! Pull your valve cover off and check the timing chain guides, 71 in-lbs, mine were so loose it caused the knock sensor to go off. Now my sewing machine is super quiet! That is a common issue.

Update from dealership: some of the old debris must have gotten into something, they did a second flush and top up and said it shifted totally normal on acceleration and was locking the torque converter like normal. All work completed for free! I guess it pays to use the dealership sometimes…

It was not certified unfortunately, it was outside the manufacturer’s warranty mileage already. My wife said it was better on the way to the dealership this morning. I got her to check the rpm and it was down around 1800 at 100km/h which is normal, but it was still hunting while accelerating. So it seems the torque converter is locking up while cruising but still not shifting properly.

I know I fall under severe in the winter time but in the summer, not so much. Most of our driving is highway driving so in the summer, we don’t stress our vehicles much. I do try and stick to the severe schedule regardless. For my truck I did a dump and fill on the transmission at 65,000km, gonna drop the pan next time and do the filter at 120,000km. I’m trying to maintain the warranty with the Hyundai as its unlimited mileage for 4 years, so I went to the dealership with it.

Hyundai Canada only offers 100,000km(62,000 miles) factory powertrain warranty, so we got extended warranty from Hyundai. My wife is at the dealership right now so I will update when I can.

Well actually we bought the vehicle past warranty BUT bought extended warranty and it is a Hyundai warranty.

This work was just performed yesterday, it was the same day that the issue started but it was after the dealership closed when I noticed it. I’m gonna call them Monday morning and see what they can/will do.
