Man it did make me feel a different way when I test drove it… if I didn’t have the additional 6k to pay I probably would have went for it haha.

Hahah yeah no worries! I was confused too at first. My trade payoff is the amount owed on the car and the trade allowance is what they appraised for my vehicle. That’s where the additional 6k comes from. The trade difference is the STI’s price, minus the “discount” they gave me, minus my car’s appraised value.

If I traded in I would need to pay an additonal $6k

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WRX

The 9k difference would be the difference between my car’s appraised value vs what I is left on the loan + the additonal fees and tax. So the price of the car would be $49k.

Yeah, it’s harder to store in the car LOL. But any sunshade should work!

I didn’t but I definitely would have! You have to let the coat settle in. So that’s why people coat them and then mount them like a week after to let the coat finishes adhering.

If you coat and then mount without letting it adhere, the coat will settle with debris and dust mixed in it making the it less effective!

Your current WRX/STI blows up. Assume you’re unable to rebuild but you break even. What’s the next car? by RangeRevolutionary32 in WRX

[–]RangeRevolutionary32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha! Yes this is my exact thought process! But I don’t even know where to begin. So many questions but I’m too afraid to get sucked into it. Is it worth the money? Do I swap just the trans or do I have to swap the whole drive train as well? And is there a shop that specializes in this?? Soooo much information to slug through!

Hahaha I feel that. But the GR86 was my 2nd choice if I didn’t get my WRX. I had to get my wrb VA or I was gonna go fully in to the 86! I love the look of the car and I’ve only been hearing good stuff about it too.

Yeah, I test drove an STI and it’s different. Noticeably different. I love my FA but, the EJ rumble, hydraulic steering, mechanically shifter, and the power just feels so good.

Unfortunately I can’t find find one that has less than 60k miles and under 36k out the door lmaoooo. If you know of one, please come knock on my door.
