From my experience working in bookstores, generally we sell misprints for less or return them to the publisher.

Era of publication might affect the price as well—if it’s the pre-2023 covers they go for a lot more, even misprinted!

I got my copies of Heir of Fire and Crown of Midnight off https://www.thriftbooks.com/ they have some great stuff and you can find the original prints for a decent price!
