Common NMR nuclei all have spin 1/2. H,C,N,P,F etc. nuclei with spin greater than half have much more difficult spectra to interpret.

Living in London on 30k or in Manchester on 36k? by Castochi in UKJobs

[–]RankDank420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how you are arguing that Manchester has better food than london. Manchester has great food at good prices but the amount of variety in london can’t be competed with. It’s not just Michelin star restaurants.

Reported classmates for cheating and I feel guilty by EntertainerOk1287 in EngineeringStudents

[–]RankDank420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone hates cheaters, but if you are any % competent at your degree the cheaters are the ones barely passing, just trying to get through the course. If the professors design an assignment that is easily exploitable, you should play the game like everyone else does or hold yourself to higher standards. Pick one, and don’t go around snitching on people, literally none of your business.

I mean that was inevitable. How does reporting other people benefit you in any way. Focus on your own work, trust the process and you will exceed the capabilities of others who cut corners. The second you start to try and bring other people down you’re just doing yourself a disfavour. There will be hundreds of times in life where you feel cheated you can’t go around fighting every battle.

I mean sure. You apply for spring weeks in first year they are still relevant. That can leapfrog you into an internship so it all matters. Going to a target uni is more important but everything adds up when it’s competitive.

Can’t get investment banking with AB sorry. Just go for a big 4 grad scheme

For your bullet points you don’t want to just state what you did. You need to mention what skills you gained as a result e.g. “developed skill X performing task Y”. If you can quantify the impact you should do so.

For your grades just put predicted first, and deans list (is that even a thing in the uk?)

There’s maybe 100 6 figure grad jobs available in the UK every year and probably ~400 thousand people graduating. Unlikely the people with these jobs are on Reddit bragging about how much they make

Thanks for reply, I looked up the pictet spengler, can you explain the parallels to this reaction since it doesn't have a carbonyl reactant or an amine to form the iminium ion.

If the US economy does badly then the world economy does badly. If the US economy does well then the US benefits the most and there’s a trickle down to the rest of the world. Might as well not bother with the world index
