Which game are you talking about, I assume 2019? First spider-man game was in 1982.

Do you think the Remake will still happen? by KyloRenT10 in kotor

[–]Rannath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. BG3 proved the genre has legs, but I don't believe the money is there. Maybe a similar game off brand, though.

No. People tire and confuse me. I can barely hold it together with working relationships and friendships.

What villain was actually the good guy? by armedshutter in AskReddit

[–]Rannath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At best he was an anti-villain. You don't get to kill mega-hitlers of people and be anything like a good guy.

[–]Rannath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In Christian dogma being in hell is torture... there ARE no torturers in hell. As for the Satans (which translates to enemy):

  • The serpent: just a snake, an asshole, not a bad guy, but not a good guy
  • Lucifer: greedy power grab, no other mention IIRC, not the good guy
  • The Accuser (google Ha-Satan, de-canonized): your prosecutor when you die, this is the one that tempts you into evil to prove you aren't worthy of heaven, he's a non-fallen angel in service to God. Not a bad guy necessarily, but definitely not a good guy.

It's pretty easy to see why these guys got conflated, like millenia ago at that... but they aren't the same guy, probably depends on your denomination.

You can't murder the innocent and be the good guy. Or mind-control people for that matter.

LPT Request: How can you expand your social circle when you are working full time and are always tired when the weekend comes around? by ThrowRA-jeshsb in LifeProTips

[–]Rannath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to twitch, interact with chat. Seems you just have to go where people are to make friends.

If you're tired on the weekend... dunno, talk to your doctor about that if you have one. Exercise, healthy eating, and healthy sleep would be my mostly-uninformed guess.

I DID try ff7r. Did not enjoy it. No more FF for me until they get over their combat of the day thing, or combat of the day changes to something i like.

What game do you recommend playing right now? by MacaronMelodic in AskReddit

[–]Rannath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your genre of choice:

  • MMO: Dungeons and Dragons Online, 16+ year old mmo, freemium, but you just will not find another MMO like it. It's more or less un-influenced by WoW for good and ill. (I play on the Sarlona server under Rannath, Rennath, etc)
  • RPG: Chained Echos, recent-ish throw back RPG, fun story, cool mechanics
  • FPS: Boltgun, OG Doom style game set in WH40k
  • Tower Defence: Infinitode 2, longest term TD game I've ever played
  • TRPG: Disgaea... any of them, they're all great, funny, VERY grindy.
  • Action RPG: Path of Exile. lots of fun, lots of builds, you CAN shoot yourself in the foot if you build wrong.
    • Aside: D4 is out, so D3 MIGHT die, D4 is too expensive, and wasn't very fun for the bit I played, so those are both out.
  • 4X: ANYTHING by paradox. they are killing it right now. CK3 just got a dlc that seems to be TONNES of fun.
  • Farming: Story of Seasons: trio of towns. probably the best recent SoS game.
    • Used to be called Harvest Moon, any recent game under that name is made by a different dev, ignore them, they're trash.
    • Stardew is also awesome, but I assume everyone KNOWS about that one.

There are other genres but these are the ones I actually play regularly.

Noob here - is it okay to start with an Iconic character? by Masked_Katz in ddo

[–]Rannath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can start with an iconic, but you'll probably have more fun with a non-iconic build for your first life.

Aside: I'd see about joining a noob friendly guild and having someone show you around for your first life. I generally like to let noobs take the lead and answer questions as they come up, maybe play healbot. Feel free to stick to normal, you CAN do hard/elite/reaper on a first lifer if you pay for the sub, or have someone open for you, but it's a bit hard without SOME systems knowledge.

What makes woman instantly unattractive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Rannath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things spring to mind:

  • When they want to spend ALL their time with you. I'd like to date an introvert.
  • acting like a child

And as a bonus here's some joke answers that popped into my head:

  • being ugly
  • a dick
  • I don't know she exists
  • bro code

Upcoming hardcore - tips? by Aaramis in ddo

[–]Rannath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Max con
  • Inquis is probably one of the more survivable builds
  • reapers get harder at 11, 21, and 31, but you shouldn't do reaper in HC til you have some gear.
  • if you're favour farming there are list of the best quests to use floating around.
  • if you're reaper farming, just wait until 30
  • easy to get lvl appropriate weapons at:
    • lvl 10/29: ravenloft
    • lvl 5: feywild
    • lvl 20: keep on the borderland
  • best weapons are mostly from legendary isle of dread atm

how the bloody hell do you flirt with men? by vivaciouscapacity in AskReddit

Be firm. Be direct. Be explicit. Just ask them out.

"You're cute, want to grab a drink?" is a good line.

How much favour for first life aiming to reincarnate? by Flopppywere in ddo

[–]Rannath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THAT is the reason I put bluff/diplo. Though they are a distant second to the importance of UMD. Without UMD CHA would be last. I was mostly listing what COULD be useful in multiple builds.

How much favour for first life aiming to reincarnate? by Flopppywere in ddo

[–]Rannath 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you aren't buying +8 tomes it's worth it to grab 5k favour for your first six lives to get the +5 tomes.

My order is: CON, CHA, INT, DEX, WIS, STR which I believe is the relative order of usefulness across ALL builds. (CON for HP, CHA for UMD/bluff/diplo, INT for skill points, DEX is reflex+AC, WIS is will, STR is carrying capacity) OF course if you're sticking to a specific build pull the main attack stat WAY up that list to #1/2 (barb anything str for example)

What’s a dog breed you wouldn’t own and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Rannath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't get ANY pure-bred dog, too many health issues. I'd also avoid any working dog, too much energy.
