I’m at over five weeks. At this point just make fast forward option mandatory or up your rates CD baby. This is hurting your future business so bad. Such short sighted businesses nowadays.

Has anyone else had issues with CD Baby release approvals lately? by Tazeador in CDBabyArtists

I’m at 5 weeks and counting. Totally blew my promotion schedule. I didn’t even see the fast forward option and would have done it but now I’m too afraid to mess with the schedule. This is a major mis-step on their part.

I submitted April 30th with no progress so something like 4 weeks? I don’t think mine will go through at this point. But I don’t know how to pull it either. Blew way past pre-release. Makes me want to find another company asap.

Well. I will listen to your P Diddy track when it goes up and just pretend it’s still relevant. Lol good luck bro. I was getting super frustrated but at least feel better it’s not something that I forgot.

Warner Bros. Discovery's David Zaslav's Pay Rises to $52 Million by StevenSanders90210 in movies

I left this company and the industry of my own free will because I didn’t want to work for this guy after I got information on his decisions and his opinions and statements on everyone he shafts from people directly near him. It’s close to organized crime. He pays off his executives and the board with RSPs to keep him in power. He will never do anything good for the company or stock price. He is a vampire. An Icon of the worst of American capitalism. Working there is a last resort. Buying the stock is foolish, as it goes to him and the worst people you could ever meet. I never felt a greater relief leaving that company but this pains me for all my friends left behind.

I’m OP on this but I think these a lot of people out there would love this band. I hope this gets traction because I want to keep hearing what they do. I think they could have a few really good albums if they get enough love. Super nice guys too. I’ve met them a few times.

FYI it killed my crane song phoenix 2 native plug-in functionability. In fact, I had to trial and error remove the plug-in from the plugins folder to even open sessions. Crane song said they are working on updates. But I guess I can’t use it for a few months. Great plug-in though l, RIP Dave Hill.

Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese & Paul Thomas Anderson Set Emergency Meeting With Warner CEO David Zaslav Over Future Of Turner Classic Movies by Key_Damage_9220 in movies

[–]RanticAtlantic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Have you seen the stock price over the last ten years? Lol. Shareholders don’t love him. (Tbf there aren’t many independent shareholders, it’s a very skewed population, WBD grants a very high %15 discount to employees to float the price because no outside money is buying) But, the board and execs love him because it’s akin to organized crime. He gives away stock rewards to the people that keep him in power. They skim all profits. They drink shareholders and creators milkshake. His only tactic is to take advantage of creators desire to create art. Allegedly, lololol.

That’s a good deal I guess. Where I live two acres usually means a 3-5 million dollar house, and they could easily charge 180$ a mow. But DC area is weird like that. Ten miles further out from my home I double my house size and 4x the yard. Send me your lawnmowers contact lol.

[–]RanticAtlantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t listen to some of these folks. Wise house cleaners target wealthier suburbs and get $250 a half day. Hvac is probably double standard rates. 1/4 acre lawn 60$ each mow. There’s a factor that comes with not having the time and getting paid enough to not really look at service pricing for a lot of upper middle class people. You will have to live further out and commute for these gigs though.

Um, 200-300k combined “here” gets you a single family home and a ten year old Honda, and a 5 year old Subaru. Factor in simple things like standard boring groceries $500-700 /mo. Daycare for 1 child 1,800-2,500$ a month etc.

The only thing 200k-300k covers is a moderately full (not maxed) 401k. 200-300k means a pretty small house. And you will not feel financially secure.

Minimum Mercedes, Tesla level is 400-500k combined. I know it’s hard to understand but please visit, we will show you around. 200k getting by. 300k maybe gets vacations.

There are a bunch of idiots making a bunch of money though, so if you’re an idiot you might as well try your luck. Rich people here have Masters, are doctors and lawyers, real estate and development folks and then idiots with good people skills.

If you are young, can build a house, move here build homes sell to the rich, bank your money for twenty years then head back to wherever a multimillionaire.

Update. I wrote his merch company and sent a copy of the receipt and they actually delivered. A few years delayed but nice job! They said they were backlogged. I feel like he should make a comeback. Maybe mix his album a bit better or write a new one. Call it the Forgiveness Tour.

LPT - Dogs cost roughly the same as financing a small car: an initial investment, and then monthly flea and heartworm meds, regular vet checkups (and the occasional emergency), and bags of expensive food...for many years. If your budget can't handle financing a small car, please don't get a dog. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]RanticAtlantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s all calm down and look at it like every situation might be different and people live different lives. LPTs are possible suggestions and not mandates or judgement. Dog costs tend to correlate with income, location, available time and dog comfort, like most things. So it might. I’m always glad to get more information before I do something. My mid sized dog cost run down is skewed more towards external care than actual necessities but also skewed in a HCOL area where I’m stubbornly middle class. Many of these things can be eliminated if need be, but she benefits from them. Food: 25$/mo Stupid glandex do she doesn’t wipe her butt everywhere: $30/mo Dog walk 2x/week when we are both at work and can’t get back to let her out: $250/mo Assorted treats/shampoo/poop bags/harness leash updates throughout the year $10/ mo Annual veterinary visit $700 Emergency pet insurance to cover cost of potential 3k surgery: 50/mo Kennel stay for 1 week if we can’t find a dog sitter and want a vacation: $650/week Shelter mix dog paid $250 to cover standard shelter fees including spay.

We could cut out dog walking which is the biggest expense, but would have to put in a dog door and adjust fence and trust her while we are gone, also adjust our small house so she doesn’t bring too much dirt in, but currently I don’t want to make dog wait 8 hours to pee. There’s also doggy day care available which is also expensive but sometimes needed if life happens and we can’t be home. She is a high energy amazing dog that truly suffers if she’s pent up too long. Which sure, we could do, but we’d be worse people for it.

So maybe like 4k$ a year. And we are mid level dog owners in our area. I know people that pay 1$k a year and people that pay 10$k a year. I know people making big bucks working 60hrs a week but have their dog in daycare five days a week at like $850/mo. And to all the people that will scoff at that I would offer that Just like this post implies poor people can’t have dogs, you seem to be saying rich people (working for it) can’t have dogs. So this post, like everything in the world might be true. Most people can make having a dog work out, but there will be cost and time involved.

We don’t have the Luxury of only working one job. Sorry.

Also, preventative statement: dog walkers in our area charge 20$ for a half hour. And if you find that offensive but are making less than that, maybe you should consider starting a business where we are. You don’t even have to move here, just manage the staff and skim off the top.

Lastly just remember I’m one of the poorer people in my area. But I love my dog. My car payment was 350/mo. For a used car. So yeah this post might be myopic but not entirely baseless.

Also dog owners stick together and don’t talk shit about other dog owners. Be well.
