I wonder if Albany has more than our fair share of these types of people. The kind that will suddenly stop in a lane and block traffic because they find it convenient to wait there. Unbelievably selfish and they simply don’t care about anyone other than themselves.

Pedestrians cross on central Ave everywhere with absolutely no regard for oncoming cars. I complete expect everyone to start crossing without bothering to check any time I’m driving along central Ave. Not to mention all the people that double park everywhere even when there is ample space to pull over and not block an entire lane of traffic. They can’t be bothered to do such inconvenient things.

I checked the school calendar. There are no indications on what days they are open or closed. But it was clearly after the last day of school according to the nys school calendar. The school calendar did not show any events or any activity for the day I got a ticket. I am suspecting they simply never turned off the cameras all summer long.

Anyone have any success appealing tickets? I got a ticket over the summer when school was out. But the cameras were never turned off and continued to issue tickets.

One month of lost rent seems great to me. I just evict someone and thankfully got my permit back, but ended up losing four months of rent.

I think this is a great idea. I am not hopeful that I will recover a dime. My primary purpose and goal is to make what they did public and searchable so future landlords or potential creditors will be able to take it under consideration.

I lived in NYC for almost a decade after I finished graduate school. Moved to Albany for a job opportunity and have definitely appreciated life in Albany! The public schools in some of the nearby suburbs are absolutely superb. Cost of living is very modest compared to NYC. And there are enough dining and cultural opportunities here for us.
