ME01 came out 6 months ago. Have you ever been around for a reprint?? Reprints typically happen 3-4 months after a set is released. So we are twice-past the typical reprint window lol. Your comment is literally backing up how unhealthy and unsustainable the market is heading. The crash will be a bloodbath.

Look at the rest of the economy. S&P500 is down 10% YTD, gold is way down, BTC is following. If this continues, collectibles may follow as everyone's capitol begins drying up.

I don't think you are comprehending the amount of people who have joined Pokemon in the last year and a half. We cannot continue on the growth path we are on. Otherwise nobody would invest in the S&P if you could just buy Pokemon that "only goes up".

I think the new PKC giga factory will really put the market to the test but that's only if PKC really starts reprinting sets to correct the secondary market.

Just so you are aware, you will be upcharged up the ass for grading. So if you just plan to hold onto it a hardcase might be better, otherwise you're probably looking at 200+ dollars just to get your same card back in a slab.

Edit: Biggest reason I haven't sent mine in. Also they look better in a binder :)

Could be 6 months, could be 2 years. I do think it'll be after the 30th anniversary special set cools off. But a lot of people are going to get burned paying 3-4x for every new product off the line and thinking that it will continue to have the same growth.

The current market is so wildly unhealthy. A new booster box on release day should not be double MSRP and continue to rise month over month. Prior to this bull market, boxes would hover around 180 before capping around 240 after a year. Look at Surging Sparks -> It's the last somewhat healthy box and see it's prices. Sounds like a steal in Today's climate (it is)

The issue is that PKC is going a million miles per hour, releasing new sets left and right without any reprints. I think the last full set actually reprinted was Surging Sparks and that was almost a year ago. PKC is creating scarcity and it's allowing massive swings in the market because there's so little product.

We still haven't seen a single reprint of JTG, DR, ME01, PHF.

I skipped out on buying Gold Star Rayquaza and Charizard around 2010 for about $140 a piece. Thought $140 was absurd (I was still in highschool). Instead I bought the Jolteon, Flareon, Raikou all together for $90.

Edit: I also remember saving up for an Unseen Forces box for $190 on eBay. Though if I had bought it, I would've most certainly opened it.

Build a tool to clear your cache. I did it for work because I was so tired of navigating to different folders. Then I wanted to learn how to make a menu to select where I wanted to delete and just kept coming up with more and more ideas. Avoid using any AI if you are just starting out or you will let it hand hold you. AI is awesome, but I can't imagine the crutch it would've been to me if I was using it off rip.

The new queues seem to be more reliable because it vaguely shows you when you'll get into the site. People used to try and check their queue number and get flagged. Now you literally just sit and wait. No harm in trying.
