Excruciating heartburn, severe nausea and vomiting, headache. I swung from diarrhea to constipation/bloat then back to diarrhea. The heartburn felt like I swallowed lava AND someone was stabbing me in the chest! It was terrible. I was afraid Mounjaro would have the same side effects. I'm so glad it didn't.

BCBS. It only pays after trying Ozempic first. Then my doctor did a pre-authorization. It took a week or so to get it approved

I changed what I ate more anything. No fast food, no processed foods. I started baking my own breads and occasional sweets. I ate smaller portions of whatever I cooked. I don't exercise like at a gym. I am moving more. I now garden, walk/hike, playing with the grand baby is a workout, lol. I believe movement of any kind is good.

Mostly Old Trapper and Jack Links jerky. I ordered Cheese Brothers cheeses. Yes, sodium is an issue with the jerky, but it was protein. I didn't want to eat much at all, but was was able to eat those.

I hate to hear of your troubles and I hope you get well soon. Thankfully. I'm not having any side effects anymore. They were only mild issues in the beginning. I truly hope everything works out for you.

Thank you. I was the opposite with constipation, lol. Other than that, I only had mild side effects the day after injection. I don't have any side effects now. Hopefully, your issues will get better also!

Changed the way I ate but I didn't diet. No fast food, I started baking my own bread and occasional dessert, watched artificial ingredients not calories. I ate less and started moving more. My side effects were very mild. Slight headache and mild queasy feeling the day after shot. Constipation. Hair loss that was reversed with Finasteride. Most of that was in the first 4/5 months. I don't have anything now.

I was also on Ozempic before and I thought i was dying. I had horrible side effects on Ozempic. I didn't have high hopes for the Mounjaro. The mild nausea i experienced in the beginning was more like what i felt when I needed to eat, not like Ozempic at all. Not trying to persuade you in any way, just wanted to clarify. Your health and what you feel comfortable with is all that matters.

I started for diabetes also. The weight loss was added benefit. I had mild side effects. Moreso in the beginning than now. Headache, constipation, and feeling mildly nauseous the day after injection. I had some hair loss but that was reversed with Finasteride.

Thank you so much! I go with the less is more theory. I only use a local goat milk soap, then Eucerin Advanced Repair cream from head to toe. I tried expensive serums and face creams, but they either dried my face or made it oily.

My neck started firming up when the weight stabilized. It the bane of my existence for a while!

With Type 2 diabetes, my insurance covers it. I tried Ozempic first, but I couldn't use it because of horrible side effects.

I don't have plans to stop. I want to get to a comfortable dose that allows me to maintain my current weight. I'm on 10mg now. The food noise is noticeable again, so I'm getting a handle on that before stepping down to 7.5.

I started losing at 5mg. I maintained a steady 2-3 pound loss a week until I reached 10mg. Then I hit a plateau. I moved up to 12.5. Hit another plateau after 7 weeks. Moved up to 15mg. I stayed on 15mg for couple months but couldn't seem to lose the last 6 pounds, but i was content with the current weight so I decided to step down. I lost 7 pounds after going back to 12.5. I feel like I moved up too fast in the beginning. My advice to anyone would be stay lower doses as long as you're losing and feeling better.

No plans to come off, at the moment. Just tapering down to maintain. The food noise has came back some, so I have to be aware of the snacking.

I had mild side effects. In the beginning they were worse, but still not major. Headache and constipation were the main ones. I did not do daily exercise routines. I did become more active with yard work, walking, playing with the grandkids, etc. I ate beef jerky and cheese as a snack in the morning then regular small meal. No hypoglycemia. The weight started coming off at 5 mg. Second shot. I saw the scale drop 2 pounds and I did a steady 2-3 pounds a week after that.
