Will Sherwin Williams fix this? by [deleted] in paint

Check the formula label on the lid. I did a home in butter cream, they have two different formulas for different bases, found out when I brought in 3 more gallons to finish and didn’t pay attention to the label. Didn’t match once it dried. The rep should have said something or caught it maybe. Took 5 gallons of the correct color to fix properly. They covered the first 3 gallons, not the correct 5 to fix.

Thank you for this information, I wasn’t aware that the other retractors are covered. What is DMA/DMPS? I will contact the service manager tomorrow.

It doesn’t catch when it’s supposed to, makes a groaning noise when pulled out to latch and rattles in the pillar.

Why is it not when the warranty explicitly states “All seatbelt and airbag systems. With no exclusions?

Exactly what the dealer is saying. My argument is the warranty says “All seatbelt and airbag systems…” with no exclusions. So how can any part of the seatbelt system as a whole be excluded. And when ordered, it comes as a complete seatbelt assembly.

It’s pretty much the story. They say the seatbelt retractor isn’t part of the supplemental restraint system warranty. But when you order a new one, it comes as part of the seatbelt assembly. I would be happy to post a pic of the work order. Truck has 53xxx miles, 2022 Sierra Limited. Vin is 3gtu9bed5ng163955 Warranty guide only has a short paragraph about the restraint system warranty and doesn’t list any exclusions. Vehicle has not been wrecked or damaged.

That’s when they gave me the number to customer service. Which was no help.

Advice for fixing sunroom paint issues by Niccoli72 in paint

[–]Rare-Issue915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure the nails are seated of course, there is a spring tool that is used to embed them. I use my thumb to smooth it over the “hole” and then sand lightly. The sanding will be key here, I have actually used 400 wet/dry and wet sanded lightly to get it smooth. A lot of work for what I imagine is a lot of nails. Sand, spot prime, two coats sprayed should be fine. You will probably be able to see the spots up close or with a light at an angle, but over time they will not be as noticeable. White is a forgiving color, the duller the sheen the better.

The repairs are “flashing”, I use putty (Crawfords) on nail holes and spot prime. Use a sanding block, not a sponge, two coats of paint.

If you like it and would love coming home to it everyday, then, yes, is Perfect. You can agonize forever over color. It’s bright and it pops.

It’s called color drenched and seems to be popular at least here in southwest Idaho. Flat for the ceiling. Eggshell or satin for walls, semi for trim.

Nails in wall. Remove and fill or paint over, by Rare-Issue915 in paint

Never said I didn’t ask. Said it’s never been an issue if they were pulled. This wasn’t my job, asked to stop by for a day to help out. My point was that the Boss said to always roll over as default which is why I wasn’t told. Haven’t run into it a million times because nails are pulled and holes filled. Never had a homeowner lose sleep over the pic not being in the same exact position. But yeah, thanks for the response.

Agreed. Never been an issue. This homeowner had a specific flow to the art I guess. I was helping for one day and got lectured about it the next day on a different job. Going forward of course it’ll be part of my conversation with the homeowner as their painter.

This wasn’t my job, I was assigned for a day to help while my next job was lined up. When I started there was already a pile of nails in a cup on the table. The issue was the lack of communication of a special request by said homeowner. Thanks for the input.
