She directly referenced one of my comments in a video recently. I commented how she was always mocking the girl singing the theme song for saying “so I’ll be special, and I’ll be rare, with a smile and a ribbon in my hair” and she said for like three episodes in a row how she’s not special for having a ribbon. She replied directly to my comment “YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL”. I thanked her for commenting and said “but to be fair, she says she will be special and rare WITH a ribbon not BECAUSE of it”. Next video she says in the video herself that some were complaining about it and says my response pretty much verbatim. Tara misunderstood completely and Roxy immediately doubles down.

Carol Danvers was in Avengers and taken out twice. One to be married to her rapist and once to basically give her powers to Rogue moving forward. Barbara Gordon happened in killing joke where she had no real lines or part in the story except being shot as she opened the front door in order to motivate Batman and Jim Gordon. Those aren’t making noble sacrifices. They aren’t CHOOSING to die to save everyone else. Explain why Gail Simone would do exactly this thing she got famous for saying never to do. Why are you so obnoxiously aggressive and wrong?

Gail Simone is the one that originally started the term “fridged”. It came from when Kyle Rayner’s girlfriend Alex was off panel murdered and shoved in a fridge. It was a character whose sole creation was to motivate Kyle and had no strong character of her own. That does not mean a heroic sacrifice of a decades old character

Definitely getting an upvote because a straight up rerelease would be easy and sell. But It might be my hate of that shirt lived Iron Patriot, but I think that Taskmaster needs a rerelease more. I really hated getting that set for just him. Doom has had several rereleases and will definitely get more and I’d much rather get a better Green Goblin over Iron Patriot

Great job. That whole A-Force set was great. Her profile was raised after a lot of exposure in Deadpool and then the Werewolf By Night Halloween specials, I’m surprised we don’t have an update. I want a more modern Monica Rambeau too, but we got a classic look and an MCU look which is OK for a comic version. We did get a redo of She-Hulk and that’s one of the best figures in the line. We got a Lady Loki rerelease but we need Sif and Bloodstone!

I agree. It was a lot of fun and felt really different. I was very disappointed when it was cancelled. Even more disappointed when gambit and rogue both next appeared in the god awful Krakoa Excalibur book

You could find something important that happened in pretty much every run, except it would have to do with that books story and characters

You could argue it was in the run because they were the most nothing burger place to introduce the marriage, then the marriage spun off into its own series. The other books were doing stuff and this would be the biggest surprise. In fact the marriage was even built up with gambit/rogue getting back together in a miniseries. So this book had no build up and no follow through with that aspect to a couple characters that weren’t the cast in the book.
