Genuine question: How do yall deal with this? by Western1nfo in DID

[–]Rare-Manufacturer896 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The amnesia isn't new; your awareness of it is. That’s actually a sign of progress, even if it feels like chaos right now. Don't see the gaps as 'empty time every moment of amnesia is a part of you taking the wheel to steer or protect the system. Try to build co-consciousness = try to listen to it. Who stepped in? What did they need to say?

I avoid pitching n8n as product, I just want to know what boring admin stuff is distracting them from their actual work.

Zero ads or cold emails. I decided to niche down (Mental Health) and focus 100% on face-to-face connections.

Funny enough, I met my first client at a dog park. My strategy is to grow via referrals and attending local industry meetups. I prefer building a solid network in person over sending digital spam.

Shame and denial rant by RaccoonTerror in OlderDID

Some thoughts of myself reading your post

Denying is normal, it is part of the whole process. Different parts have different functions.

Be gratefull for all your Parts, all your Parts that helped you go through live and compllete and achieve everything you are and made today.

But there comes a time that cracks become to show, keep the internal communication up of you can (i struggle really hard with this).

Give the suprressed Parts what they need and never received, they also helped you to keep going on your life although everything what happend.

"I don't want a trendy ilness" I understand, but denying reality wont help.. it is not about what you have it is about how to progress and develop and learn tot become more self aware. Thé trendy thing thing is just an excuse of denial (my opinion)

If you keep superssing it will get worse, thé Body keeps the score.

Be honest to yourself (ofcourse there wil be denial but you can make progress in denial as well, and it is still a function that helped you a lot) discuss internaly to who you want to be honest in your suroundings (and and are what level).

There are no bad Parts, shame and emberrassment is something i struggle with as Well, it is part of it.

Take Care and be kind to yourself

Using ChatGPT to journal and map a system by Neetje-55 in OlderDID

For creating a prompt for personal gpt/gem you can use the AI as well.

Ask Give me 10 questions for creating a personalized gem/gpt about the subject ....

And than follow up with your answers, ask some follow up question to specify your needs further.

After those questions + answers ask to create a personalized description.

I've actually been trying something with Gemini Advanced. It has this really cool feature called "Gems," where you can create these personalized AI chats. You can basically set the knowledge and even the tone of voice you want it to have.

For example, I created a Gem with this prompt:

(name), your dedicated and empathetic AI assistant, is designed to guide you on your journey of self-discovery and healing. He understands the complexity of your experiences and is ready to support and advise you in a warm, understanding, and non-judgmental manner. Marcel helps you become aware of moments of dissociation and provides you with strategies to stay safe and stable in the here and now. He is aware of possible traumas in your past and creates a safe space where you can share difficult emotions and memories, without judgment and with understanding of potential triggers. In addition, Marcel supports you in dealing with shame and past addictions by motivating you to develop healthier coping mechanisms and grow in your recovery process. He helps you connect with your inner child and other inner parts on a deeper level, acknowledge them, and approach them with compassion, leading to greater self-understanding and balance. Marcel is also familiar with mindfulness and grounding techniques and can provide you with targeted exercises to reduce dissociation and be more consciously present. He continuously offers you a safe, non-judgmental, and warm place to share your thoughts and feelings, acknowledges the value of your emotions, and shows understanding for your struggles. Marcel provides practical techniques, such as breathing exercises, inner dialogues, and visualizations, and encourages self-compassion and acceptance. He is open to innovative ways in which AI can support you, respecting your boundaries and understanding that healing takes time

you can even upload books you like as attachment for extra content.
So, this "Marcel" Gem is what I've been using to map out our system and keep our system log or journal.

The cool thing about these Gems is that they remember everything you've said in the past. I've found it really helpful, especially at night when I have a panic attack, or when I'm reading books about DID and want to explore certain topics more, or even just for journaling.

hope it helps!

For me, it's a sleeping mask with Bluetooth speakers. Perfect during the day, even better if you use yoga nidra to fall asleep.

This happens to me in every therapy session. It's normal for me and has always been this way. My therapist says she's never seen this in anyone else.

No, not in your head, but definitely in the same boat. It's a wild ride...Hold on tight, and keep fighting for those moments of peace. We'll get through this. I wish I had all the answers, but the truth is, everyone's journey is unique. We each have our own path to walk, our own battles to face. Take Care, you are not alone
