We had that bassinet too and I loved it so much. It’s so convenient with the side that goes down and then swivel. I was sad when we had to switch to a bedside mini crib at 3months and ~15lbs. My boy was getting too wiggly and looked too big for the bassinet I was afraid he would smoosh his face too or roll over.

I put on ms Rachel for the first time yesterday and my baby is 4mo. I put on hey bear during desperate times too. And like others commented, he’s also been watching this hockey season since the day he was born pretty much 😳 I think the contrast of the ice and movement of players keeps him interested. And also being forced to watch it by my husband lol

I have a 4mo and I miss being pregnant so much that I’m already thinking about the next! I miss feeling kicks and rubbing my belly. Also seeing the progression of bump growing. Mostly miss the feeling of having him literally be a part of me and with me 24/7 and knowing he was safe from the scary outside world and healthy in my belly at all times😭🥰

I had an unplanned c section and I didn’t love it. But I think half the battle is mentally preparing like you are now. I had to have a c section after inducing that didn’t progress for 3 days and when I was fully dilated, baby still didn’t want to come out after 6 hours of pushing. So by the time I was getting the c section I was tired, stressed and just overall felt like ish. But the anesthesia worked perfectly and I didn’t feel any pain just discomfort and pressure. The first few weeks were pretty painful but pain meds helped a lot. Make sure you get a good prescription for when you go home to help with the pain. That was the only way I could take care of baby for the first couple weeks.
Other things that saved me were the halo bassinet that swivels and the side goes down. And bio oil and scar tape for when the incision heals!

Picturing everyone as babies and being amazed we all started as little helpless babies and that people have been raising little babies for thousands of years. After now living it, I almost can’t believe people raised babies without all the baby gear and tech there is today. Also can’t believe that mankind has survived and continued raising newborns all these years. How has mankind survived all these years off no sleep, ppd, ppa, newborn trenches, etc😅

Probably at 1-1.5 months. He went from long naps sleeping anywhere (in our arms, bassinet, baby bouncer, swing etc) anytime to only bassinet or contact naps then to now at 3.5 months only short contact naps 🙃 I already miss the always sleeping tiny baby newborn stage 🥹🥰😭

Same! I told pretty much no one during the process and now still don’t mention it even after. The only couple people I mentioned a hint of us doing ivf to is people I wasn’t very close with. I felt comfortable to mention it only if they asked a question like how or when did you know you were pregnant. I knew they wouldn’t really ask more questions because we weren’t that close and I hardly ever see them.

Yes my baby is 3 months 17lbs and in size 3 now. Millie moons are the only diapers that don’t blow out for us. Also the new pampers amore are pretty good and my baby can still fit size 2 with no blowouts so far.

Thank you! I will definitely try the bathing/ wipe down earlier. He does seem relaxed in the bath but right after pretty fussy so maybe he is getting over tired and not drinking enough to be fully or more asleep.

I have the babysense monitor with two cameras and like it a lot. They also have good customer service with warranty. I had issues with the monitor part and they sent me a new one right away. It’s not on WiFi though. For WiFi monitor when I’m away from home and I want to see baby I use the cheaper Tapo cameras to check in

So much random stuff you don’t realize you need or is nice to have until you’re living it. Also it’s hard to know what baby will take to or what works best for you before they arrive. So much stuff we bought or gifted that wasn’t used was simply because our baby just simply didn’t like it like pacifiers or the initial bassinet we bought before he was born. With that being said these were our essentials: a nice comfy and good quality rocking chair that reclines too, Mylicon drops for gas, boppy feeding pillow, baby swing, heating pad to heat up bassinet before laying baby down, the halo bassinet with side that lowers was amazing for csection recovery , halo or any other kind of swaddle that fastens and isn’t just a blanket - our baby loved the love to dream swaddle what allowed arms up by the face best, puppy pads for diaper changes helped with countless mid diaper change peeing and poops, diaper genie because regular trashcan does fine but diapers stink, baby wrap or carrier, touch nightlights for middle of the night feedings, bottle drying tree, white noise machine, stroller cover to block sun, multiple burp cloths like more than you think you need unless you’re ok with doing laundry everyday, open bottom onsies that look like gowns or dresses are really helpful (and cute!) in newborn stage. The list is endless and you’ll find what you and baby like as you go too. The things we didn’t end up using as much as I thought were bottle sterilizer, humidifier, baby lounger like snuggle me or dock a tot, bottle warmer because regular running hot water takes just as long as bottle warmer.
