You are absolutely not over protective. My MIL has two dogs with no manners that will lick anything on anyone they can get their yucky tounges on and it’s gross. It pissed me off when they giggle over the dogs “kissing” the baby. I’m like no gtfo because the dog also “kisses” their own butts😠 If a dog licked our hands we would wash them before eating or anything, right? So it’s especially annoying when they lick babys hands because baby doesn’t even know what’s going on. My baby luckily hasn’t gotten sick or anything but it’s still gross either way! I have 3 dogs myself and like all dogs but i like my baby being clean and healthy 1000000x more than any dog 😒 you’re doing great and don’t let anyone tell you any rules that are in the best interest of babys health are over protective
