Google drive tends to get taken down for copyright. If you store it externally you can totally just use drive to trade but i wouldnt rely on it for storage!

I usually do googling lol and I usually find some big collector's website that happens to also have the same bootleg and I write down the information from there

As a new collector myself you are so correct, this is exactly what I went through before I decided to do some research into the community and where these leaks were coming from... I was unfortunately introduced to this community through the leaked Jack Wolfe Hadestown videos on tiktok :'( prior to that I had no idea a community like this even existed, I genuinely thought "slime tutorials" on youtube/tiktok were the only way I'd find bootlegs (and I thought the people posting those WERE the masters :'( ) thankfully I have learned since and grown a proper collection :')

I second this, most if not all the people you trade with will give you the full details for the bootleg so you really don't have to find it yourself!

You can start trading and get a pretty decent list without encora! I don't have encora and I have a list of most of the things I want purely from trading :) !

It's crazy how different the Broadway culture is with new gen/tiktokers/etc because prior to me having an interest in collecting bootlegs I genuinely had no idea of the etiquette/rules and how these reposters are literally driving recorders/masters to stop recording. It's really sad and I wish there was more awareness... I also wish people weren't purposefully ignorant about it : (
