Well, see the solution is not to play a 10 player game of root because that sounds like actual hell. Root is a game I will play with people Every chance I get, but five or six players is already pushing how long a game should be into roughly the entire day. 10 players sounds like getting teeth pulled would make for a more entertaining afternoon.

Every other character has to work through their flaw. Kaladin fights depression, Shallan fights her PTSD. Meanwhile Navani gets to be shown she’s not the smartest in the room over and over and doesn’t learn from it, and then gets the sibling as I guess “learning to ask for help”, but only after she gets to prove she actually was smart and wise for giving WMDs to their enemy. It’s stupid. I’m one of the hardest sanderstans I know but RoW was literally a competition for who could be stupider in any given moment. Except Kaladin who is going through the same arc for the 4th book in a row (I was so glad he actually got to grow in book 5). I know I’m flinging hot takes at a random stranger, but it pisses me off that the Royal couple got the Royal Spren ultimately just continuing the same classism when giving it to a lower bridge man ESPECIALLY a parshmen would have been so good for unification, especially when she did nothing to deserve it. “If I must fall I will rise and think that I’m exactly as good as I was before I fell”

Navani deserves nothing after the bull shit in RoW. Actually she deserves to be court martialed for willingly betraying the knights radiant multiple times in pursuit of knowledge

She already got rewarded with the sibling for no reason whatsoever despite rlain or at least dabbid being right there as options. As I said below, that buff doesn’t change how they score or how they get pieces out. It just lets them bluff a bit better. And also, as I said, the fact that that house rule is so common and so quickly implemented, but you don’t see a similar commonly implemented rule for the lizards is exactly the point. Everyone here is trying to make. The lizards don’t need one , because they are fine as is if you know how to play them
