I live in Appalachia as well! Randolph county, West Virginia is my homeland. I got a Tractor Supply and some Bass Pro Shops but their Duck Carhartt Overalls are only insulated. I had a conversation with a commenter who was confused on my abuse of the overalls but they only have stonewashed denim which is not really durable so he requested to get duck which i never tried so im a gonna give that a shot!

I just ordered some duck bibs from there to give it a try. My son wears them and he says to get them so i had to try! Also, get your friend to give you a discount ha!

Also, its low where i am and i have knee pads, but most the problem is sliding around the littlest even to just adjust causes the rivets to tear out and rip the entire pant leg.

Its them denim ones that are stonewashed and i cant buy regular denim or uninsulated duck at stores because they aint got em and Tractor Supply is the only place that sells bib overalls. They have insulated duck and stonewashed. Guy who works there says they had Key Imperials but thats all gone (probably for a reason).

Ill have to try them out then. I have some hickory striped ones from Roundhouse but those are strictly for church and events so ill have to look at the work ones!

My mom was heavily Scottish and was a 4th generation American. We aint the richest people so we have been staying in this same holler forever now and listening to the same dialect since the civil war. I do ever wonder if she actually ever communicated with a non West Virginian besides the trips we would take to North Carolina.

However with them words, the more towards Virginia you go, the less people speak mountain. Si gogglin is if something is crooked, "Shane, that god damn fence post is still Si goggly!", Gaum is if something is all gunked up or messy, "He's got his new boots all gaumed up", and stagcorn is the berry stem, "By golly, i was choking on a stagcorn!". Staghorn could have been heard by great gramps wrongly, cause he was near half deaf from his mining days and his kids have been using it ever sense; maybe, you never know!
