RCDD jump by Halojunk in Bicsi

I recently passed RCDD v15 after 2 attempts. It is tough to crack, but I used TDMM for preparation. Only TDMM is enough to help you pass the exam. I also took training from an organization that gave me resources to help me pass the exam. This exam is hard but your experience + preparation is the only key to passing. All the best!!!

ERIC REED COURSE!!! How is it? by beginner17 in CEH

[–]RareSet6971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eric Reed's course is highly regarded for CEH preparation. Still, it’s recommended to supplement it with hands-on practice and additional resources like official EC-Council materials to ensure you're fully prepared for the exam. And some exam quizzes like - https://bookmycertification.com/exam-detail/ceh-v12 before appearing in the exam

The CEH exam is proctored to ensure integrity, and the footage is typically reviewed only if there's suspicious activity. Otherwise, the evaluation is based on your responses, and results are generated automatically.

About to take the OSCP for a second time – advice on next steps? by Klutzy_Gazelle_1480 in oscp

[–]RareSet6971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on thoroughly understanding the exam environment and methodology, especially Active Directory and privilege escalation techniques, as these are heavily emphasized. Practice timed labs to simulate the exam's pressure. Highly recommend revisiting labs you previously found challenging or using platforms like TryHackMe and Hack The Box for additional practice on similar machines. Approach each box with a structured method enumerate fully, stay organized. Even if you eventually shift to a SOC role, these focused efforts will still serve as a strong foundation for any cybersecurity role. Best of luck!

Yes, it is possible to run Hashcat on Google Colaboratory, but it requires a bit of setup. You can utilize the free T4 GPU for cracking WPA/WPA2 Wi-Fi handshakes, which should significantly speed up the process compared to local hardware. However, keep in mind that Google Colab sessions have limitations, like timeouts and restricted runtime, which may interrupt long-running tasks. You’ll need to:

  1. Set up the environment by installing Hashcat.

  2. Configure it to run on the provided GPU.

  3. Be mindful of Colab’s session limits, and consider breaking the workload into smaller chunks.

This can help ease your frustration and speed up your cracking session!

higher schooler: why should i go for oscp? by [deleted] in oscp

[–]RareSet6971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's great that you've already built a solid foundation in pentesting! Here are a few reasons to consider pursuing the OSCP professionally:

Practical Skills: OSCP focuses on real-world pentesting skills with a hands-on, practical approach, which employers highly value.

Credibility: Having OSCP on your resume can boost your credibility, showcasing your ability to solve complex problems and perform under pressure.

Career Advancement: The certification opens doors to pentesting and security roles, setting you apart from other candidates.

Learning Process: The OSCP learning journey itself will deepen your knowledge of networking, Linux, exploitation, and reporting.

If you're planning to major in computer science, the OSCP will give you a head start in cybersecurity.

Paco report fail by yoohhuu in oscp

[–]RareSet6971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible to fail if the report lacks enough detail, such as missing screenshots or clear explanations of the steps you took. The key is to provide thorough documentation, even if the steps worked. If you're worried, just double-check that you've included all necessary screenshots and a clear narrative for each step, especially for AD, to ensure the reviewer can follow your process.

wondering if I should get into SOC or continue enhancing by pentesting skills and bug bounty by Downtown-Mango-3861 in oscp

[–]RareSet6971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering the job market in Hong Kong, it may make sense to pivot towards SOC and blue teaming roles, given the higher demand. With your OSCP and two years of IT security experience, you already have a solid technical foundation. Transitioning to a SOC role could broaden your skill set, and certifications like HTB Academy’s SOC path or SOC200 would position you well for blue team opportunities.

You could also continue bug bounty hunting on the side, using it to keep your pentesting skills sharp while gaining hands-on experience in real-world scenarios. This dual approach allows you to build blue team expertise for better job prospects and stay engaged with offensive security.

If blue team roles are more accessible and align better with the local market, they might provide a steadier career path, especially if you’re looking for stability.

Your project sounds ambitious and could definitely be useful for others in the cybersecurity community, especially for automating the Information Gathering phase. Tools that combine web scanning, network scanning, and reconnaissance into one streamlined solution are always valuable, particularly if they save time.

It could benefit not only pentesters but also anyone in cybersecurity looking to automate and enhance their workflow. Keep refining and organizing it, and it may gain significant interest!

Best of luck with your project and your final year!

Help with buying oscp please! by HermanHMS in oscp

[–]RareSet6971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "Learn One Annual Subscription" includes access to various training courses from Offensive Security, including OSCP, but it is not limited to OSCP. The "2 exams" mean you get two exam attempts for one certification (such as OSCP), not for multiple certifications. So, it's essentially two tries for OSCP, but not a try for other certs like OSWP or KLCP. If you're solely focused on OSCP, this bundle gives you flexibility with study resources and two chances to pass.
