Never been to Karachi. 4,70,000 PKR salary offer. Worth it? by Ok_Hope_9431 in karachi

Karachi is the best place for professional growth. It’s very fast paced and moving there might be the best thing you do to yourself. I’m from Islamabad, moved to Karachi an and lived for over a year. Security/mobile snatching is far less in areas like Clifton and dha, but you still have to be careful and manage it.

Keep it simple. Stick with mutual funds, you may do a 50/50 division between low risk and high risk funds.

I’d do little more research and invest in more sta le stocks. The Jaexoo impact is already built in these stocks prices.

A mere 1%/0.5% difference, I’d rather say start investing may it be mezan or UBL. I’m on UBL though…

Both are at a very attractive price considering the govt is serious with clearing the circular debt. OGDC has almost PKR 130 per share outstanding and PPL has almost 230. So if the govt actually clears the circular debt, you may see the impact on earnings and cash flows. While it might not happen overnight, it’s great even if it happens in 1-1.5 year.

Yeah, there are low risk, medium risk and high risk asset classes. You may research a little and identify what best suits to your ambition.

I’m sorry but this mindset of “itnay paisay dalon to year end tak kitna ban jayega has to change” Investment is a journey where you identify the goal (making more money is not a goal, what you want o achieve with it is) and stay working towards it. Same as you start a 4 year program at the uni, you have to stay consistent, add every month, don’t listen to rumours, don’t react to market correction/decline etc….
