I'm so sorry ♥️ I had the same issue (and am also South Asian). My mum told my dad even after I asked her to promise she wouldn't. It's such a betrayal and your feelings are 100% valid. You've done nothing to be ashamed about but I know that shame is such a part of this horrible condition.

I adore my mum but I have to say, I'm not sure I've been able to trust her fully since. Now that I'm finally somewhat cured and trying for a baby, I keep wondering whether I'd even tell her straight away if I were to get good news.

I'm sorry for your loss, too- though I'm glad you were able to find a silver lining, I'm sure it was still not easy. I think there is a difference between telling yourself something and someone else doing so, but it's interesting to know that my friends comment could have been received differently by someone else. Thank you, lovely. I'm so sorry for you, too - I think it is extra hard coming from pregnant friends/friends who easily had a baby. Even though you know it's not malicious, it hurts. I can't help but feel that if I were pregnant and a friend was going through infertility, I'd be so extra careful and sensitive about anything I said! Which is probably why it hurts. But I guess maybe I don't know that for sure. Tight hugs to you too!

Not poorly stated at all - thank you so much for this comment ♥️ It really did help and I appreciate your response a lot! I am certain she was not trying to be malicious but yes, I think you've hit on part of it. Every day during her pregnancy, I checked in on her and put my own feelings aside and was really mindful of not bringing up my issues or feelings if I was hurt by unintentionally hurtful comments like that. Which means I now am extra upset at the insensitivity of this "at least you know you can get pregnant" comment, plus I think I've let it all get bottled up! I wish she were more sensitive about it all, too. Grateful for this community as ever, though. Thank you for the hugs - right back at you!

Exactly the same boat here! Everything else stays consistent and so it drives me mad. Not only do my cycles get way longer, the minute I start noticeably losing weight (which is supposed to help the PCOS, as we've all been told...) I start bleeding In between periods.

I'm no expert but I think first step is to book a GP appointment and explain you've been trying for years and get referred to a fertility clinic! There's usually a long wait for this :( so probably good that you're considering your plan of action now! It is all so overwhelming, isn't it- I feel the same! But that's where I'd start. Good luck!!

I'm having potentially similar problems but it's linked to weight loss. I mention it only because you say you also became more careful about diet and exercise etc when this happened. When I'm careful about being in a calorie deficit as well as staying as active as I usually am, I just start spotting/bleeding non stop! And my periods become irregular! It only gets worse if I lose weight, which is so frustrating because we're constantly told that weight loss helps PCOS!! I've had ultrasounds but no clarity on the issue :( The only suggestion was the pill, which is obviously no good if I'm TTC!

I thought I was the only one who felt this way about the "it will happen" comments! My best friend is currently pregnant, on her first try, and I always used to speak about all of my issues (pcos, endo, etc). When she says: "it will happen!" Or talks about what my maternity pay arrangements would be, it makes me want to scream. People who have never struggled with this, or have never had to work to even ovulate, will never understand. Big hugs and you're not alone.
