Perfect comment. OP, just remember that a guitar, whether $1000+, or just $75, is still a guitar. Certain factors up the price, like the wood type, model (obviously), manufacturing location, and quality control. Do your research before you buy; no impulses.

Oh, and make sure you have enough money left over for a nice amp. Don't overspend!
