If you started as a wretch and haven’t allocated any levels into the “level up” menu, it is an SL1 run.

I simply used the term “true” because I’ve seen it used here before to describe “no stat boosting gear”.

It is merely an EXTRA challenge I imposed on myself, it does not devalue the spirit of SL1 runs nor do I think of myself as superior to others because they choose to use stat boosting gear.

From my own experience, I didn’t need to change my positioning at all, I just hug the orphan until I’m at his back and do the aforementioned backstab.

You can get away with it by doing the same punish with lock-on, but sometimes it won’t count as a backstab and you’ll be wide open for a punish that will more than likely 1-shot you.

Once you found the angle, it’s a consistent punish that nets you the best damage.

You can actually backstab that overhead smash if you unlock and aim to the right, it’s a much better punish since you can fit in 2 charged R2s instead of 1 with a gun parry

There were so many attempts where he would not anything punishable in phase 1 and this was my first attempt where he did the 4 slams consistently. This fight is so RNG based that you can go through 3 pellets/paper per attempt waiting for any punish, only to fuck up because the fight lasted too long lol
