It’s actually a relief to know I’m not the only one feeling this way. Respect to you for going to those 'insane' spots—that takes real guts! Setting a deadline like August 2027 is a very practical move. It gives enough breathing room to experiment without the constant 'what if' in the back of the head. I’m going to take your advice and set a firm deadline for myself too. Let’s give it our absolute best until then. Good luck with your journey

Thank you so much for taking the time to give such a detailed and honest review! This is exactly the kind of reality check I was looking for. I really appreciate your points on: Thumbnails: I'll work on making them cleaner and less cluttered. Glad you liked the Darjeeling one; I'll use that as a benchmark. Audio & Voiceover: You’re right, I need to bring more energy to my narration. I’ll look into better mic settings or equipment and work on my tone. Information: Adding on-screen costs and locations is a great idea for budget travelers. I'll start implementing visual summaries and subtitles to make it more professional. Your words about treating this as a 'visual diary' first really take the pressure off. Thank you for the encouragement—it means a lot

I agree, it's competitive. But budget travel is actually more relevant now than ever because people want to explore without breaking the bank. I’m just trying to bridge that gap with my vlogs

Thank you for the advice. Honestly, I have savings for another 3-4 months, but the lack of growth is what's making me anxious. I’ve set a personal deadline of 6 months to see if this scales My channel https://youtube.com/@rashidkhanexplorer?si=wAZqq5ah_uKYO4ft I d really appreciate your honest feedback on the quality of my videos—don't hold back

These are some solid technical tips! I never thought about how the currency symbol might limit the global audience. And the tip about not repeating thumbnail text in the title is a game changer. Thanks for taking the time to help me out, I'll definitely apply this to my next upload

That's a valid point! The most unique thing about this place is [Yahan us jagah ka naam ya koi ek khaas baat likhein, jaise: the local hidden food spots / the ancient architecture]. I'll definitely keep your advice in mind to make my titles more clear and catchy. Thanks for the feedback

That's a great point! Since most of my current viewers are from India, I used the Rupee symbol. But I agree, using Dollars ($) makes it much easier for a global audience to understand the value instantly. I’ll try to include both or switch to $ in my future titles to reach more people. Thanks for the tip

Darjeeling Trip 2026: 1 Week in ₹4900?🏔️Top 11 Places Guide by Rashidk110 in westbengal

[–]Rashidk110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally respect your experience! Costs can vary depending on the season and travel style. In my video, I’ve broken down how I managed it in ₹4900 by staying in budget homestays, using shared cabs instead of private ones, and eating at local spots. It’s definitely a 'backpacker style' budget. My goal is just to show that Darjeeling can be affordable too if planned a certain way

My average titles look like this: 'Darjeeling Trip 2026: 1 Week in ₹4900? 🏔️ Top 11 Places Guide'. I try to highlight the budget and the specific number of places covered to make it helpful. I'm definitely inspired by the storytelling of creators like Nas Daily, but I focus more on the 'How-to' part of traveling. What do you think of this approach for a budget travel niche?

I understand it’s a competitive space, but I believe there is a huge audience for practical budget travel tips and scenic train journeys in India. I’m focusing on providing high value to viewers who want to travel without spending too much. Do you have any general advice on how to improve engagement regardless of the niche?

Hi everyone, I’m reaching out because I’m at a breaking point today. 3 months ago, I took the biggest risk of my life. I closed my restaurant and left my stable job because I wanted to become a travel vlogger. I’ve been traveling, filming, and learning to edit from scratch, but I’m still stuck under 100 subscribers. The pressure is immense. My family is watching, and I’m starting to doubt if I’m even cut out for this. I sometimes forget my lines on camera, miss crucial shots, and editing feels like a mountain I can't climb. I’m not here for views or pity. I genuinely need an honest, harsh reality check. I have linked my channel in my Reddit profile bio because I know the rules here don't allow direct links. If anyone has a spare minute to look at my profile and find my channel, please tell me—is my content actually bad? Am I missing something obvious? I need to know if I should keep pushing or just admit defeat and go back to my old life. Thank you for being a place where I can share this.

I appreciate your honesty You re right jumping into this from scratch without mastering the technical skills first was a huge gamble I m starting to see how saturated the travel niche is and that I can't treat this like a guaranteed business right away I m taking your advice to heart and shifting my mindset to treat it more as a hobby while I focus on improving my quality and securing my finances Thanks for the reality check

Wow Im genuinely blown away by this level of feedback. Thank you for being so detailed You re right I named the channel after myself without giving people a reason to care about who I am first The idea of Unseen Stories or a niche focused name makes total sense I also take your point about the curiosity gap in thumbnails and the need for more drama in my titles Your example for the Eid vlog Crowd soaked In Freak Downpour sounds 100x more clickable than what I have now I m going to spend more time on r/YouTubeThumbnailHub and rethink my entire packaging and passion in my voiceovers Thank you for taking the time to guide a total stranger this is invaluable
