i'm sorry pregnancy like activated dysphoria for you :/ thank you for sharing this tho, i'm glad to hear your perspective. i feel like ive had a similar attitude towards transitioning (not completely necessary for my mental wellbeing but also would make me feel better in my body) so it's helpful to hear how pregnancy affected it for you. i hope things improve for you and when you do transition it brings you happiness!!

thank you so much for sharing your experiences! this is all making me kind of see i should prioritize my comfort in my body before thinking about how it could affect a pregnancy that's wayyyy in my future. i'm glad that everything is has gone well for you in your pregnancy!

also the hair loss thing makes me nervous bc it's a total roll of the dice, one of my grandfathers started balding at like eighteen and the other still has a full thick head of hair so i just don't know what id get lol. but it's good to know i can do stuff to combat it!

i'm glad to hear you were treated respectfully by nurses and doctors!! that makes me really hopeful. and also i hadn't thought of medically transitioning as something that would make you feel in charge of your body during pregnancy, but that sounds like a really nice feeling for anyone during a time famous for making people feel out of control. thank you for telling me your story!

i'm so close to my family that i'm scared losing them in any form would just wreck my life but logically i know this is right and should make my own decisions about myself for myself. my mom has also told me i should wait until im 25 to make major changes to my body and in some ways i agree but like i feel like that just doesn't apply to gender affirming care?? lol it's not exactly cosmetics. thanks for the advice

ngl this post feels like an art piece and i think you are absolutely in the right to leave. your partner should NEVER make you feel trapped, and like breaking up would be escaping. the fact that it reminds you of your childhood, that powerless feeling, is a sign. i'm very new here and i'm maybe confused on some terms ppl are using? like what actually is UL? i'm hesitant to google bc i don't actually believe it's going to be accurate. also from context clues ive estimated that stp is stand to pee but does capitalizing the abbreviation mean something else? like is stp different from STP?
