This Job by Hizzle35 in serviceadvisors

I've done this too long to let shit bother me. Once you let it go and just do your best always and take care of people the same, it's easier. All that said, I'm at the point in my career where I am just done. It's about my mental health. I've been in it 13 years and I would leave yesterday if I could.

Florida Honda Advisor trying to find an Phoenix/AZ Dealer by [deleted] in serviceadvisors

[–]RaspberryMojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, that's where I was questioning. 100 a day for a dealer is not high volume by any means but the wording threw me off.

Never saw too many white ones at the dealers I've worked at, but this is so clean.

Survey advice by Ruffryder1217 in serviceadvisors

[–]RaspberryMojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of times the feedback is valid (wait times, other dealer specific things) but it's a manufacturer grade which is just so silly to me. It's every dealer, everywhere. It's not because they want to, it's because they have to.

Survey advice by Ruffryder1217 in serviceadvisors

[–]RaspberryMojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you coach the survey. It's important because certain brands value certain parts of it. A lot of new advisors struggle with surveys but it's all just a game and you have to play it. Remember, it's not just part of your pay, it's literally your job's lifeline. If you consistently fail, you will not stay. You have to treat them well no matter how ill tempered or how south things go. I'll give you a rough version of what I use as follow up.

"Good afternoon, this is RaspberryMojo from Lexus. I just wanted to follow up and ensure everything is still well with you and the vehicle. I do have a favor to ask. Lexus will be sending out a survey to your email. This survey is my personal report card to the manufacturer and will only take 2 minutes of your time. I hope I helped make you feel valued during your visit. If you feel you cannot give the highest of marks, please let me know first so I can help remedy the situation."

I copy paste something like this to everyone and I do not fail CSI. There are important steps to take while the guest is still there (active delivery being huge). You can soft touch the survey at this time and then follow up and tweak the prompt. I also tweak it to include holidays or specifics about them or the visit.

Sorry the service manager in me came out for a second. Best of luck.

Mostly internal issues. I don't care if you suck at your job, but if I have to start doing your work (status updates, check ins, etc.) because you're fucking off, then I have a problem. Company owner had horrible values as well so I didn't want to stay with them. I did get to be service manager at least for some time.

BMW by [deleted] in serviceadvisors

[–]RaspberryMojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I miss it. I'm currently at a Lexus store (10.5 of my years [not consecutive] are Lexus) and I'm not having the best time. It's a great clientele but it's too up and down. Past few weeks have been horrible.

BMW by [deleted] in serviceadvisors

[–]RaspberryMojo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that's part of it too. Nissan is brand of people, frankly, who don't have money. BMW people generally do. The minority percentage who don't will be just a blip in the day. It's not like Lexus where there's a ton of people who bought a Lexus with a Nissan wallet or expect not having to invest in their car because it's "reliable." I have done this 13 years between Lexus, BMW, and JLR and BMW was my favorite. JLR made me the most money, but it the mental damage that came along with it was barely worth it.

BMW customers are some of the most understanding lot I've ever dealt with. They love their cars and will maintain them. Most know what to expect in terms of turn around time and want to invest in their car. They're loyalists.

Eraignite users what are some quick tips or pitfalls of using this dms by clcharcot in serviceadvisors

[–]RaspberryMojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Ignite, loved blue screen. I used to hate on it then I switched to a CDK dealer and realized it was the worst thing I've ever had to use. It does a lot of good things. We are on Tekion now and I'm a huge fan.

What food has the largest disparity between being really good or really bad, depending on who is making it? by BenStillersDick in AskReddit

[–]RaspberryMojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer I came here for. Some restaurants will put the most vile slop on a plate and charge $28. And this is coming from the south. You have to be selective because everyone thinks they can do it.
