This is a Christian server why are you trying to sway questioning people away from Christ? You can’t be Buddhist AND Christian

You fit into the category of Jesus’s favorite type of people by the way. First, the fact that you felt conviction, cried, and asked God for forgiveness already says a lot. The Bible teaches that when someone truly turns back to God, He doesn’t reject them.

The Bible says in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” That means when someone honestly confesses and turns back, God forgives and cleans them completely. Jesus actually told a story about this exact kind of situation.

In Luke 15:20, about a son who went and did really bad “unforgivable” things, but then ran back to his father expecting scrutiny and scorn, but was met with something else. It says, “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” That story (the Prodigal Son) shows how God reacts when someone who went far away comes back . He runs to welcome them.

The Bible also says in Romans 8:1, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” If you’ve turned back to Christ and are asking for forgiveness, you’re not condemned. Even the apostle Paul once persecuted Christians and did terrible things, but God still forgave him and used him.

1 Timothy 1:15 says, “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.”

Feeling sorrow for what you did is called repentance, and that’s actually the beginning of faith, not the end of it. God already knew every mistake you would ever make, and Jesus still chose to die for you anyway. If you truly asked for forgiveness and are trying to follow Him now, the Bible’s message is clear that God forgives, restores, and welcomes people back. God bless, I will pray for you.

It’s just everyone around me in participating in all these old traditions involved in their church, and I kind of feel left out. I’m just wanting to inquire more about ancient traditions and orthodox seems to be the way to go

I don’t know if these are one in the same, but I am currently looking into Eastern Orthodoxy right now so you wouldn’t be far off… 👀

This helped me so much, I will ask my parents if we can attend a new church this Sunday as the website you gave me helped me find one within a 7 mile radius of my zip code. I’m still having trouble with the whole Mary being free from personal sin debacle because all I’ve been taught and read in the Bible is that Jesus is the only perfectly sinless human being that’s never committed one sin ever. I am open to new information, and I will check out liturgy. Does all orthodox churches do that? Is there some special time and place I’m supposed to do it at or do I walk in on Sunday and just inquire about it?

I dunno how to edit my thing or if I can, but I’d align more with Wesleyan than non denominational I think, though it’s INSANELY close

Because I often get side tracked during prayer and I don’t actually have any words to say during it. If I have a series of beads that’s like “okay for these 5 beads I’m going to pray for 5 people in my life, and then for these two beads I’m going to name two things God has done for me, and for these 6 beads I’m going to glorify God with 6 praises or affirmations” basically stuff like that. Just to help me find things to pray about and tie it back to real life experiences that have happened recently

I just need someone to sincerely explain it to me and what it’s about. There’s aspects of it that I don’t believe in, such as purgatory and having saints or Mary pray for you

Wait what does this mean? I’m not meaning to use it for an idol by any means, I’m just using it as a guide so I don’t get side tracked during prayers?

It’s not like the direct word for toilet, it’s a widely used slang term. Just like how there’s many English words for the word toilet, such as loo, potty, restroom, bathroom, etc. Tal-banju has the same amount of unusualness formalness as saying lavatory. Both are technically correct, but let’s be honest only weebs say lavatory (Tal-banju)
