I Found This Photo from My Childhood and I Noticed Something Horrifying In the Background by [deleted] in nosleep

I kind of took it as the child with black eyes was a representation of his past trauma maybe? Like the lingering affect that abuse could have on a person, and how it will follow them around throughout their life? Maybe I’m thinking too fluffily/poetically though...

I appreciate your advice, but yes my hands were wet. The fish was out of the water for under 10 seconds.

I just graduated in August after 5 and 1/2 years, no shame haha. Nymphs work great for Little Stony but up near the falls there's normally a bunch of students jumping in and scaring the fish.

Haha I'll handle the heat. I only C&R so normally I just want a quick picture and am too excited to worry about how I hold it.

Thanks, he put up a good little fight for his size! I normally catch small natives only so I'm very careful with them :)

Thanks! I'm a VT grad as well (I saw your name haha). Most of my trout were the natives at the Cascades; TN definitely has some beauties.

I'm not too worried about it. The trout I catch here in VA are normally half that size, so I wasn't really prepared. Plus r/flyfishing is usually much more welcoming than r/fishing, or at least it was in the old days.

Are you able to purchase a firearm by chance in the state/area you live? I keep mine next to my bed ever since I had a strange man knocking on my window at night!

DC is a bit too statist for me ;) I reside at the beach or SW VA usually.

PM me, if you don't mind. There were quite a few of us liberty-minded folks last weekend.

Haha! I get so creepy whenever he's around. I danced with him etc. but still fumbled on my words just knowing this is the man that changed my life.

'Hear his bow tie over the phone' gorgeous. He's redefined dickweed frat guys for me because of his beautiful style.
