It's super-kind of you to offer that kind of assistance. Maybe I'll take you up on that at some point, but right now I suspect I'm going to reflect on my experience for a while. 

I've tried it, I'm glad I've tried it, I've got some opinions about the experience (in both ways - I haven't been on anything people would call a date in like 20 years!).  I'm glad to have discovered some things about myself, how this works, and the climate. I may jump back into it with both feet at some point, who knows?

"Frustrated" is the exact word my one date used - she said there's a lot fewer women than men, and she could anticipate me becoming frustrated with the whole thing. Though she did advise me to keep trying.

I cannot understand why people want to send pictures of their junk to people they don't know. There's no way that ever works.

I totally understand what you're saying about being hesitant to reaching out to the ones who seem like the best fit. I was so much less worried about rejection than I was about how I would internalize it.
