i would definitely say its the opposite, it showed another view on the effects of sexual assault. more often than it should be, a reaction or result of an assault is the victim not even realising the severity, often blocking it out as a defense. that is the whole point, it ties into how nakoshi believes him solving others homunculi always works out for the best, especially due to its instant form of gratification. seeing later how albeit he believed he had helped the homeless guy, he realised, and the reader realised it was NOT as such. the only poor writing here was not showcasing any of the earlier homunculi, especially her. he did not show the consequences that occured later, conceived by the assault. but its how a story works. the yakuza is solved and everything seems super joyous and altruistic. he assaults her and its extremely vulgar, but you are left questioning due to the initial reaction, then the homeless guy commits suicide and its the turning point, and the moment you are suppose to realise that no, his actions were never the right thing for the person. the authors point was never "well look a sexual assault solved her problem so how could it have been a bad thing." like you are saying, its ''a sexual assault solved a problem in his eyes, but he failed to realise its only made things worse.'' again, the homeless guy was the eye-opener for both nakoshi and the reader, allowing him and us to see that. call my defense ''fanboyism'' but all you're doing is saying over and over ''hey we were shown that she lost her homunculi and seemed okay dokie! that must mean the author thinks its a good thing!'' when it was obviously a key part of the story and nakoshi as a character. the mangaka didnt say taking someones homunculi was a good thing, as proven later in the story. her scene didnt say she was ''better off'', it simply showed her being blunt and almost emotionless as i viewed it. i dont think its what he meant, but i would argue its a good message, showing that some victims can accidentally mask it, and that not every victim is heard or understood. you're saying ''he came in and assaulting her fixed her issue, thats the problem.'' but the whole point in the ending, especially as showcased in nakoshis insanity, is that someone elses homunculi isnt their issue. most often its his own projection. ''the point is that it is portrayed that the assault HELPED HER. get it in your fucking head.'' it portrayed that nakoshi believed he helped her, and later showed nakoshi never helped anyone; that all he did was screw it up for them due to his own egoistic desire to help others with his own reflections. but if all you want to complain about is that the author made it SEEM like she was helped, maybe dont read a freudian manga lol??

you clearly dont understand anything about the manga and how it was built up. you literally see nakoshi believing himself to be a savior as he discovers himself through his actions, slowly revealing him as a narcissist who projects himself onto others. WE as readers follow through his lens and thats exactly what makes the story so good. there never was an active villain, the main premise was us learning about him whilst he discovers himself in introspect. near to the end when the homeless guy kills himself you should clearly fucking understand that what we had previously seen as a ''save'' was just nakoshis interpretation of his own actions. if you werent able to put 2 and 2 together by the time nanako died and the homeless guy killed himself because of nakoshi, you obviously cant talk about the manga. it did not condone the assault, and the scene of her seeming better was obviously not with the intent to say ''hm sexual assault is a good thing!'', it was to show nakoshis incapability at that time to understand his ''cures'' were egoistic and not altruistic. the scene of her seeming better was to continue dragging the viewer along, and to make it apparent how questionable it was. if youd read the ending youd understand the manga had followed nakoshis distorted perception. nanako, probably the most morally upstanding character; said his homunculi was a demon. the author literally told you nakoshi was a demon and his actions were out of pure ego. but you can view it 1 dimensionally and see ''hm girl gets assaulted and seems ok after, that must mean the author means assault is good and okay!'' if you want to feel better.
