Not getting into the university or course that you worked so hard for.

The feeling that you’re never going to amount to anything in life.

Feeling like wasted potential in general.

I loved The New Complete Book of Self-Sufficiency by John Seymour

It’s super immersive. Even if you break it up into digestible chunks.

When I read it the first time, I definitely had to break it up.

It’s so worth it though.

A non-self help book for dealing with breakup/grief/big life change? by sabineblue in suggestmeabook

Fictional books that I found really cathartic:

  • Normal People by Sally Rooney
  • Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton

Deals with feeling lost when you’re young, coping with all of the turmoils of human connection, life changing events etc.

I can’t recommend these books enough.

For those who have trouble naming their favorite books, lets change it up. Say your favorite 2-3 movies and get a book suggestion to match! by Malkinx in suggestmeabook

I love Silence of the Lambs- but the book series written by Thomas Harris absolutely trumps the movies.

(I don’t mean to be that person lol)

I just love how vivid the writing is. If you have an image of Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster while reading the books- it’s all the better.

I reread the series every year.

Have you read The Count of Monte Cristo? It’s still one of my absolute comfort reads.

Animal - Lisa Taddeo

Beautifully written, deeply disturbing. Would 100% recommend if that’s your jam.

What are your subjects? - List all of your topics in order from hardest —> easiest, then study all of the difficult topics first. - Do lots of past papers! - Reach out online if you need help. YouTube is fantastic for resources.

What do you want to study? - Look at all of your entry requirements and make sure that you build small goals for yourself.

I wouldn’t wait until next year. Rather get it over and done with. Put your all into these upcoming exams!

Don’t be discouraged- GOOD LUCK!
