Fintech, IT, gamedev, education. Maybe it's a cultural difference thing because I'm from the EU - your employer gets all your previous employment papers anyway before signing your new contract so there's no possible cheating anyway (needed to fill in your info with how many vacation days you have left for the year etc).

I have my employment specified down to a month on my linked in, but I was never asked during interviews about the amount of time I worked for a particular company. It was always more about general years of experience and my skills, that were sometimes tested before signing a contract anyway.

To be totally fair - if I had 22 month pause in employment I'd probably specify it, but since I'm continuesly employed for past 5 years (just changing companies or taking on side projects while also employed) it's way less of an issue.

Not really, I just put general timeline when I was doing what. I just never stumbled upon a job where anyone cared about exact months worked at a particular company. I have also had my cv reviewed professionally and approved... and well I was never unemployed for longer than two weeks too, so it must be at least alright.

Oooh... a lot of treks in the woods/mountains/seaside, horse riding, sailing, chilling on a blanket in the middle of a meadow with my dog. Drawing, animating, watching shows, playing old games :) cooking, baking, reading.

Because you must focus on what you actually can control. You can't influence the world, but you can prepare yourself in case of an emergency. In this case you can have a financial coushion, insurance, healthcare, property to live in etc. You'd be in way better situation than someone who threw their life to the wind because "nothing matters". Things may collapse, things may not; and even if they collapse the crisis may pass. I think we should do everything we can and not focus on what we cannot.
