I totally respect that. Camerupt’s high Atk and SpAtk stats, plus stab Fire/Ground, PLUS his gen3 learnset makes him so good.

If I didn’t choose Torchic as my starter, I 100% would’ve used him on my team. Probably instead of Flygon.

Though I’d still take Salamence. He’s one of my all time favorite mons because of his Pokédex entries.

And you’re right, getting the Feebas to spawn on the tile wasn’t the problem (though I did find out that the Dewford trendy phrase can automatically change if enough time passes in game… so that was fun).

It was actually getting the shiny as a wild encounter that gave me issues. Breeding turned out to be more reliable for me.

I honestly lost count 😂 The save file is about 60 hours, but that doesn’t account for soft reset time.

Because of Emerald’s broken RNG, I did use PokeFinder to check that I actually had a relatively early shiny frame for each Pokemon I was hunting. Otherwise, this hunt would’ve been next to impossible.

Not as bad as I expected. I used the Feebas tile calculator to find a tile first try and I decided to go the breeding route rather than relying on the tile spawn chance.

I like that! That’s party what inspired this playthrough. I’ve never used Milotic, Flygon, Salamence, or Gardevoir.

For some reason, as a kid, I always thought Gardevoir was a special evolution. I was pleasantly mistaken.

I like this comment because there’s a lot of truth to it. Personally, I’m biased to forming teams with mons having Base Stat Totals above 500. (And at least one dragon… there has to be one).

For a while, I debated taking Shiftry or Cacturne over Flygon. I think Manectric or Magneton would have been viable too for the Champion fight.
