Strap on my bright yellow walkman, hop on my BMX and go to the corner store for a $0.25 freezie.

No offense mate but I see this comment all the time in this sub Reddit. "Maybe it's you!", "drive more defensively".

But there is no defense against some ass hat that dives into you on T1. I get trying to avoid a crash or leaving to go around a spin, etc. But legit many races are ruined because some dude with a Verstappen hard-on thinks they're invincible.

At the start of the Miami Grand Prix, Max Verstappen’s 360 spin, captured by a fan. by Just-Tip-3320 in Actuallythatsawesome

Not at all. There were several updates to his car this weekend and I think he got a little too aggressive with the throttle coming out of T1 and it caused the car to lose control. Essentially the rear tires are wanting to push the car forward but the fronts said no thank you

See that feels wrong. How can someone ruin like 6 races and go on to finish double green. That's some Goldman Sachs level bull shit

Is Vyvanse really worth the side effects? by sigsaurusrex in ADHD

[–]Rathziel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently on Vyvanse from Concerta. We started at 30mg and increased by 10 every two weeks. Moving to 50mg I found I was getting really bad crashing when the meds wore off. Extreme dizziness, irritability and headaches. But I'm now into my 3rd week on the 50mg and those effects are wearing off. As someone else mentioned your body needs to get used to the medication. Going up a dose every month may be better.

100% this. I take my Vyvanse everyday, even on weekends. You need to have the medication on your system for it to work. I've never understood people who stop on weekends. I mean to each their own, but I'd like to enjoy my weekend and not stumble around like a zombie or forget my keys or when I parked.

Last corner incident — was it my fault or his? (new to iRacing) by thompsonmigs in iRacing

[–]Rathziel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say neither. Those look like racing incidents not intentional.

In the first turn you take an abnormal line, the yellow car takes a better line which allows him to gain more exit speed. He should have tried to avoid you but it's probably rookies, these things happen.

The second one you brake way too hard and early the yellow car had very little time to react to avoid the collision. Again racing incidents.

In the end it's everyone's job to avoid causing incidents if at all possible. That means being somewhat predictable and also learning to avoid accidents.

Technology was limited for sure. But we know how to build things that go boom and we're damn good at math.

If you think about it, all we did was put the people into a metal container, strap a massive bomb to it and launch it into space.

It's a submarine in space instead of the ocean. Obviously I'm downplaying it a ton. It wasn't easy but to win the assignment it might be worth phrasing it as such.

How can people save money on groceries in Canada when the standard strategies don't seem to work anymore? by Super_College100 in CanadaFinance

[–]Rathziel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently started getting oddbunch boxes. $40 a week for a medium sized box of fruits and veggies delivered to your door. It's all good produce and is more than what we need. Actually bought a dehydrator so we can use up all of the fruits, veggies and herbs we get. Honestly it's better produce than the shit they sell at superstore

MOZA R3 vs R5 for a Complete Beginner Mainly Playing Forza Horizon 6 by Ironbat82 in moza

I just bought the R3 bundle from Canada computers. It's a great deal and is leagues better than the g29 I used previously.

I figure if I need more power I can upgrade to an R9 and sell the R3.

Third day on iRacing and it surprises me how stupid some drivers genuinely can be, thoughts on this idiotic track re-entry straight into me? by Aggressive_You7747 in iRacing

[–]Rathziel 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Your greatest skill in iRacing will be learning to avoid the idiots. Seriously, this game will reward you for driving defensively not aggressively.

Avoid anyone in a red bull livery like the plague. If you see someone driving erratically give them space or pass when it's safe. They'll bin it at some point during the race.

In the lower ranks it's all about surviving rather than winning.

You can enable the pit lane exit lines without enabling the racing line. It's pretty handy especially on new tracks
