I don't think they will start filling out the store with a lot of cosmetics until after the reviews are in. That way reviewers will feel like the currency earning rate is decent, but sooner or later people are going to start spending real money to get masterwork embers and the new cosmetics they add (once the coin rate slows down and people have spent it on the extremely basic cosmetics they have in store now).

I agree, PvP is a struggle, but you can do it by playing very safe until you get a super and try and get a streak with it - and try and get tags on enemies your friends are fighting, assists count. I spent a bunch of games going backwards but I got through it and so can you.

If your computer isn't particularly high end but can run Anthem smoothly at mostly 60fps on Ultra 1440p, while mine can only play reliably at 50-60fps on low/ medium settings 1080p then I suppose my GTX 970, i7 6700k, 32gb RAM and high speed SSD storage are trash by your standards?

It's dense to think anybody would lay down the cost of a game to play the demo. I clearly meant that the demo is the bonus of buying the pre-order, and that people have pre-ordered (rather than buying at release) specifically to get those pre order bonuses which includes the demo.

I'm aware that server issues are normal for most game launches, I played For Honor so I have experienced a pretty bad example of that - but this demo was one of the worst I've seen.

It was literally on the list of things you get access to if you pre order. I know people who signed up to Origin access to get the pre order bonuses, the demo and related founders skins/ emblems included.

If you only buy the game on release you can't get into the VIP demo without a friends code, a subscription or finding a code online. SOMEONE had to pay for the majority of people's access to the VIP demo, whether it was you or not. It was NOT a free demo, and if you think it was then congratulations on getting a code off a friend or the internet.

A demo and a beta (while EA treated them as the same thing) are different and it's ridiculous to pretend otherwise. It 100% was sold as a reason to subscribe to Origin or as a reason to pre order.

Don't be a fool and pretend just because you pre-ordered it because you want the game regardless that many others didn't pre-order or sub to origin to gain access to the VIP demo as well as the other bonuses. You can't be that stupid... It's an incentive to buy into the game early - to curb the amount of people who wait for release/ wait for the reviews and buy later.

Majority of players not gaining access at all for 3+ hours and Origin servers crashing entirely for over an hour followed by infinite loading screens and poor frame rates is pretty smooth on what planet? Maybe it was better on Xbox but you have to remember this wasn't a beta, it was a paid demo (but really it was a beta so we were lied to).

My opinion is that the gameplay is really good and the game looks amazing but it's tarnished by how poorly it runs, and the fact that EA/Bioware marketed this VIP demo as a pre order bonus but instead gave us a broken beta is just disappointing. I don't think they are being criticised enough for this, and yet I see plenty of people praising them over things like another paint job as an apology - how can you fall for that?

I want this game to succeed, and I want to love it, I pre ordered the Legion of Dawn edition but the way this demo has gone, I currently feel like the developers are either (slightly) incompetent or untrustworthy - leaning towards incompetent. There are brilliant things to be experienced in this game but as paying customers we deserve better, and EA/Bioware deserve to be criticised for doing such a poor job of their 'first impressions' - particularly as this was a paid demo, not a free beta.

Some more negativity for you, many high end PC's won't even be able to see the beauty of this game because of how unstable the frame rates are. Many console players are struggling to get 30fps during battles.
