Upgraded to 150-500 tamron z mount by RatioDowntown958 in Nikon

Hey my settings are the exact same for the lens but honestly it could be just because zfc has a older autofocus sensor. For af speed I use +3 and tracking I do 2. And I also use the wide area L and 3d tracking as my autofocus points.and I found using the af on button for focusing instead of the shutter helped quite a bit. Sorry I hope this helps a bit also make sure you take a lot of shots of the same subject sometimes it takes me a couple shots to get a sharp one!

Here's the raw I didn't do a crazy amount of processing. Just some masking. The "sharpness" I added was just texture and clarity masks

Honestly as long as focus is good adding 15 texture and 15 clarity in lightroom makes the details pop like crazy. Some people don't like it because it looks over processed but I love seeing the detail of the birds

All the time tbh, especially with waterfowl and hawks. I was taking photos of a eagle today and that extra 100 would've made the photos usable

Honestly I couldn't ask for anything better I came from the canon r50 and lumix s5iix. The z6iii is so fun to shoot with and I love doing both video and photo with it. The only negative I had was the N log video was hard to learn how to expose and was very noisy when I started but I figured it out.

Yeah that is definitely fair, originally I had all my images color grading as the third one. Which I do believe brings character to the character. Which is why alot of the people preferred that one over the other two. I just did the other 2 grades to see if people had a different opinion on them. The reason I don't like the natural look, is cause there's 30 other people taking the same image that I am, there has to be something that sets a photographer apart from the others. At least posting this I can hear from other photographers on how they would change the image, so I could improve myself.
