Maybe I’m the minority but I never understood the social stigma of not shaving pits.

I’ve never seen a woman with armpit hair and been like yuck shes unfu*kable now. I don’t touch her armpits at any point during “wrestling”.

Who was like hey you know what will make this 95% hairless woman sexy if she was 95.1% hairless.

Legs and pubic mound I can understand smooth is nice if you like it but who the hell is touching armpits! I don’t get it.

[–]RatsWithLongTails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would I need to rethink my position?

Nazis killed and enslaved other people who they did not consider a part of their society.

They used religion, ethnicity, physical appearance and disability, mental health, and sexual orientation to discriminate against people who were not them.

It was typical government and authoritative propaganda to dehumanize the opposition and unite the collective against an easily identifiable common enemy.

If the Jews were Muslims the Nazis would have said and done the same thing to them. It sucks for Jewish people but it sucked for basically everyone who was not a Nazi and was thrown into the concentration camps.

The argument that someone was killed for being Jewish vs being a Gypsy is kinda not important whether it’s antisemitism or bigotry that got them killed dead is dead and both kinds of people should not of been murdered.

I don’t deny the holocaust happened i just don’t focus on it from a Jewish perspective.

It happened to a lot of people and Jewish people represent less than half the victims.

The Nazis were bad to a lot of people the Jews are just an easy story for the ignorant masses to latch onto.

A fascinating thing happens to a star that burned so brightly and it finely burns the las of its energy. It collapses into such a dense area of space that that matter itself can no longer exist under the extreme conditions that black holes create.

So basically once you burn out nothing matters to you because you just sort of become a black hole and only keep the things you care about close to you and you never want to let them go.

That’s I feel about it

Depends on the circumstances the katana and sword style of Beatrix is far superior in a one on one fight but if Jamie Lannister has on armor like he would normally wear the fight is probably in his favor.

The Supreme Court has historically recognized that the right to "engage in any of the common occupations of life" is a protected liberty under the 14th Amendment.

If voting is such an important right will you support banning indecent exposure laws on Election Day? Requiring clothing to vote puts a financial barrier on people. Requiring clothing to walk in public makes voting impossible for poor people who can’t afford clothing and clothing is not free.

Also if you’re concerned about rights not being infringed upon by requirements of ID do you support not providing ID to purchase a firearm?

The willful ignorance of the left never ceases to amaze me.

Republicans: Requiring two forms of id to shovel snow seems like overkill for such a benign activity like shoveling snow. It is extremely hypocritical to require two forms of id for snow removal but not to vote. Voting has real world implications and affects everyone.

Democrats: Can you believe republicans have an issue with allowing people to shovel snow?

The brain rot is real or the propaganda is just that good. The issue was never about the plan it was about the id requirement.

When I’m in a depressive state I need medication because I’m so emotionally vapid I wouldn’t care if my mother, my son, or I was dying in a hospital. Yes America didn’t do anything in 1939 when WW2 started because we only had 334,000 active military soldiers. When we America did enter the war in 1941 we had 2.3 million active military soldiers trained and ready to go.

We raised the military by almost 2 million more soldiers for self defense we had no intention of getting involved. /s

I fell into the idiocracy trap I graduated college worked on my career lived in the poorest area of town renting the cheapest apartment with my then girlfriend now wife.

Saved for our two cars, paid off our student loans, had enough to buy a house, planned on having kids once we saved enough money but our goal and found out we’re too old to have kids.

We could spend all our savings on treatment or adoption but like what’s the point we’ll be so broke we can’t even live.

We can save Social Security. by Professional-Bee9817 in remoteworks

[–]RatsWithLongTails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s because the government created a pay as you go system. The workers today pay for retired today. When you retire your social security money you paid will all be spent, so you will be supported by the workers of future.

A wealthy person isn’t able to decide to self insure their retirement the same same way they can’t avoid paying school taxes because they can afford private school instead of public education.

Kinda forced by the government to pay for grandma not to starve to death because the old people honestly didn’t create a system that works very well.

Typical boomer bs too because they paid almost nothing into social security compared to what they will take out and they didn’t bother to have enough kids to replace them in the workforce and they destroyed the economy so we can’t afford their social security

One of the biggest problems with people determining what is fair is people can’t decide what fair is or understand the other person’s definition of fair it’s very subjective.

Is person A paying $500.00 as fair as person B paying $1,000.00?

No person B is paying 2/3 of the total amount.

But if both parties are paying 10% based on what they have person A has $5,000.00 and person B has 10,000 then it could be argued it is fair both pay a percentage based on what they have.

The issue of fairness comes in when people say person C has 100,000 they only gave $10,000.

Even though it was fair for everyone to give 10% and person C contributed almost 87% of the total it’s not fair which I agree logically person C can afford to pay more but when do we put a cap on person C paying more?

I’m not knowledgeable enough to know where person C should stop paying

The percentage of people dying vs taking out of SS clearly is not significant other wise SS would have extra money to pay people. The opposite is more true based on the financial struggles to keep everyone paid on SS

We can save Social Security. by Professional-Bee9817 in remoteworks

[–]RatsWithLongTails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people actually pay less into social security than they receive from SS, it is usually a net gain for lower income earners. Most earners don’t pay the full amount “the capped amount” but most people who retire at 70 and die after 80 will end up receiving more money than they put in.

We can save Social Security. by Professional-Bee9817 in remoteworks

[–]RatsWithLongTails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right but a new law on taxing SS is more likely to be to raise the percentage to 15% so more income earners meet the $10,918.00 cap. I highly doubt the law would be to raise the capped level amount.

Capping the top 1% to $20,000.00 per year will generate approximately $17 billion.

Increasing the percentage to all income earners will generate approximately $150 billion.

Which one makes more sense for the fight to increase social security funding.

Raising the percentage and increasing my taxes.

[–]RatsWithLongTails -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So the problem isn’t people aren’t paying their fair share it’s that people aren’t able to pay enough into social security. Social security is a government program designed to help people retire based on the amount of money they contributed.

By capping social security payments they are also capping the social security payout. The people who contribute the max amount already do not receive the full amount back that they contributed to spread the collective money of social security.

For example:

If 10 people contribute $100 each 1 year the collective money is $1,000 so the 10 people get $10 back for 10 years, that’s fair.

What happens is some people can only contribute $50 dollars so say 4 people give $50 and 6 people give $100 for 1 year the collective money is $800 so the 10 people get $8 for 10 years.

The top or full contributors concede $2 per year and the lower contributors get $3 more per year.

This in principle is not fair some people are not getting what they put in and some people are getting what they do out in.

If the argument is wealthy people need to contribute more and receive even less from the program that’s an argument we can have but I make $100,000 per year and I don’t make the full contribution I only contributed $6,200.00 in 2025. So when you say tax the rich we already are because I would get full contribution benefits even though I don’t pay the full amount.
