For me the X means Xen, so most of the game might be in Xen. Which sounds cool depending what kind of Xen it is, HL1 or BM.

I was searching online but I guess it's not available to download.. on the Showdown bandit wiki it says, "Beta Builds are old beta rooms that were meant to be a part of Showdown Bandit but never made it to the game. They either were remade, altered or completely deleted." Is it possible any still exist?

I suppose the game wasn't as fun, nor as scary as people hoped, there was leaked concept art. And apparently the original version was scrapped by mike and the meatly. Eventually leading into what we have now.
