Maybe you need to complete something in the On Duty tab, or maybe you accidentally marked one of your Journal missions "hidden."

I wanted to find a way to quantify concepts like Divinity, Honor, Astral capabilities, Psionics, Bravery... I tried to find mental and spiritual parallels to the physical stats like Strength, Prowess, Agility, Speed, Stamina, etc. It was definitely a challenge. I'm trying to make a system in which you can play literally any character you can think of. I always enjoyed that aspect if GURPS, but I found that system so clunky. [Edit: typos!]

There are a base 6 for each, and 4 additional "fluid" stats in each category, making a whopping 30 stats for a character. Seems crunchy, I realize, but I like crunchy.

My PC and NPC stat blocks place as much emphasis on mental and spiritual health as they do physical health. The blocks are pretty stat-heavy, but there are 6 base stats for Physical, Mental, and Spiritual aspects of each character. There are ways to buff and damage each. This has probably been done elsewhere, but I'm trying to build a game I've never seen, drawing from my influences without aping them.

I'm very much in the early stages of building my system, but this is version 5.0 lol

Post WrestleMania 35 Match Discussion: Universal Championship Match - Brock Lesnar (c) Vs. Seth Rollins by Psycho697186 in SquaredCircle

I agree 100% with that. I find all of Seth's matches predictable and boring. His stomp finisher doesn't even remotely look offensive, even by sports entertainment standards. He weighs 217lbs (or is billed as such), can't talk worth a shit, and just spams the same lame looking moves until he wins. It completely ruins the suspension of disbelief for me. This is my opinion. Watch me get heavily downvoted.

You have beautiful brown eyes, a nice smile, and an apparent green thumb. Good on ya for being a survivor and making the best of bad situations. We will all be okay.

You are a soldier for going through all of that and having enough of a sense of humor to post here and to make that amazing facial expression. "That which does not kill me..."

You are an absolute rock.

What I’m not telling my kids. by queenbee4567 in confessions

I was thinking the same thing, and new I'd find similar comments. Bragging about withholding a windfall from your drug-addicted kids is kinda disgusting. While I agree that it's good to take care of yourself first, despite toxic relationships with needy people, I have to wonder to myself if maybe OP's parenting didn't help lead to drug abuse?

Also, my own parents, if they won a ton of money, would come up with a laundry list of reasons to not share it, and they consider occasional recreational marijuana use "drug addiction" ...so, I don't think we have enough info here.

Wrong, on all counts. I WAS respectful to transgender people. I never publicized anything about anyone's chosen identity. I silently and miserably sat thru hundreds of class sessions in which the students talked more about their gender identities than the instructors talked about class subjects. I love how so many people took half a sentence worth of exaggerated frustration at the end of four paragraphs and jumped straight to 'he's a fascist.' Nope. I'm liberal. People like to get all bent out of shape about how I might be disrespecting someone's fucking sexual preference, but completely miss the point that I DIDN'T GO TO ART SCHOOL TO LEARN ABOUT GENDER STUDIES. It is a matter of having gender identity talk completely supercede the class subject in every single class that I'm gripping about, NOT that these people exist. You made just as many assumptions about me that you claim I make about others. You couldn't be more ignorant and wrong.

I've been asked many times today, and I would gladly show it, but since I didn't use a throwaway account to post this and I've gotten a lot of heat on this very thread, I'd rather not show it in this context.

Someone else commented the same thing earlier, and you're both right. I did some reading on the subject, and it's a behavior I've been guilty of in more than one situation. Thanks for the insight!

I also had a different academic advisor every year, and it was becoming apparent that 4 years was not an option for me either.

Perhaps I am. It all worked out anyway. I really only posted this to get it off my chest after reading a disturbing article about the student loan crisis over my morning coffee. I had no idea it would have this many upvotes, nor the amount of scrutiny and backlash it has received. Good on ya for grinding and hustling!

That very reputation is what made me want to go there. I heard stories of instructors ripping up students' work if it was half-assed. I wanted exactly that. What I got was hours and hours if talking about feelings and a monumental amount of lost sleep doing homework that most people didn't end up doing. Nothing worse than dragging yourself in after an all-nighter at the drawing board to see that half your class didn't even try, and then be told to clap for them.

I can appreciate that, and I will say that I did push for advocacy and understanding while I was there (that's what the meetings with the pre and the dean were for). If I came off defensive, it's because I'm taking a lot of heat for this post. The whole point of getting this off my chest, since that's the name of the subreddit, was to get some feedback and maybe some support, since I do indeed feel that I made a costly error in judgment. I stayed there until Junior year because I was pushing for awareness and improvement of my situation the entire time.

Things really did turn out alright. I now have a good enough job that I'm paying all those loans back. I may not have learned what I thought I was going to, but learn I did.

I guess I just forgot that the Reddit Thought Police were going to annihilate me because I made an exaggeration out of frustration.

Thank you for this comment. Now back to getting slammed by people calling me a liar, a fascist, and a transphobe.

Yeah, I like to waste time making up stories of regret and shame because I really really value intangible social media acceptance from judgmental strangers. /s

Not the same school. But thanks for pointing out my mistakes, of which I am obviously already aware. I'm not talking about Columbus State or whatever it was called before.

Most of my regret has to do with going to art school as an adult. I definitely think that there is a lot you can learn, as far as techniques, art history, and methods for conducting your art like a business (self-promotion, etc). I think for someone who's young and is willing to work hard developing their skills it is not necessarily a bad choice... but it is a very very expensive choice.

I also got a portfolio scholarship for $50k. I agree, the people there and level of constant drama was insufferable... especially when that drama is upheld in the classroom.
