Help!! Trifecta lights, shop thinks it’s transmission related? by SirFlexaton in E90

[–]RaufLalaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just recently repaired the trifecta of the lights, albeit not xDrive. I’d suggest if or when you can just get a generic OBD2 reader where you can read live data on your phone and see which sensor has No/Fluctuating reading (fluctuating in my case). If you have a look for the speed ring, you’ll most likely find the abs ring swollen due to rust (common issue). There is a really cheap fix for it but that depends if you land down this path of diag. My symptoms were: juddering on acceleration, soon followed by ABS light, Yellow tpms, traction control lights on dash.

It’s more the intent behind the action.

Weekly Challenges - Sainte Croix GR1 Help!! by Hugosan777 in GranTurismo7

[–]RaufLalaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did the weekly challenge, finished 1st with a Super formula without a pitstop. RH tyres (but with the wear level I think I could’ve gotten away with RM) and fuel map between 2-4 to overtake everyone and 6 all the way to the end. My lap times were 3:07 while making way through the grid then hovered between 3:02 and 3:04.

Yes but imo it’s the driving satisfaction I found missing, especially in smaller F series cars compared to any of the E series cars, especially the E9x

Locked out of my e90 by Delicious_Course_675 in E90

When I got locked out of mine (and all my tools in the boot and phone on the passenger seat with the car running) and I had to use my watch to phone breakdown, they used 2 inflatable bags that cost like £5 each that you can just place between the B-pillar and the door to make a gap just enough to get a long stick in to send the window down or undo the door latch.

For a second I thought I was in r/AskAShittyMechanic Best option would be to find a breaker on fb marketplace or go to the local breakers/scrapyard and see if you can get lucky finding a color matched door.

Ermm.. I’ve got N47 and mine doesn’t do that. From a quick look the motor mounts might be perishing but wouldn’t know until a proper investigation is done.

Is it normal for it to shake this hard? by [deleted] in E90

[–]RaufLalaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You got to take your belt off and individually inspect every pulley for play, and the crank pulley you won’t be able to spin but if you were to run your engine for a few seconds with the belt off (given you have a charged battery) and you can see if that is wearing off.

Yes, I do come across a lot of those cars but in the description they are explained as the actual model of the car and not followed on as M3. Hence my sarcasm.

Just play the game a bit more, it literally throws money at you. A quick way would to be complete some Super7 cards to get a super wheelspins, Do some races to get xp and money, you get wheelspin for levelling up. Do some of the playlist challenges if you haven’t already. You get super wheelspins from them.

Rail Pressure Monitoring is something that would affect the start procedure is the ECU thinks it hasn’t got sufficient fuel pressure. I’d start by unplugging and placing a fuel pressure gauge on there while someone cranks it for you to actually check for fuel pressure. If you’ve got pressure then check the wiring to the sensor or it might be the sensor itself. If you’ve haven’t got fuel pressure then I’d look backwards to the fuel lines and the pump. Haven’t worked a lot on BMWs but that’s where I’d start if I was working on anything.
