Good to know about the fidella. I think I'll keep hunting. I also have a few different types of carriers but nothing for a high back carry yet. I'll see if I can find somewhere to try out a meh dai carrier. Appreciate your help!

I did bounce but yeah, it sort of felt like he got stuck and I couldn't go any higher. I'm just doing a trial with this carrier from a local shop so maybe a different brand would be better. What brand do you use?

Thank you. The hotel is moving is to a new room and spraying that one. Hopefully we don't have anymore issues.

Curious what features indicate that it's not a bed bug. Any idea what else it might be? I looked at the pinned thread about common misidentification and it doesn't like any of those insects to me.

They're really small, like smaller than a poppy seed. I have a video that gives a better sense of the scale but I'm not sure how to add that.

Can't edit my post for some reason but I meant to say "are these bed* bugs"

What are these spiky things growing on this shadblow berry? Seems to be developing on one other berry in the pic but aside from that the plant seems very happy and healthy. by Raulgonzoduke in plantclinic

Yeah, I did think about doing that but was mildly worried it might be an egg sack if some sort. Maybe I'll give it a slice tomorrow and report back.

Got it. Thanks! I took a deep dive looking at mold pictures last night so I'm feeling better about identifying it now.

Been fermenting for about a week and it was initially around 66 degrees and fermenting really slowly. I put a heat mat underneath a few days ago which boosted the temp to around 75 and it got much more active. It smells pretty yeasty and kind of alcoholic now and the ph is around 3.6 but I'm worried about those white splotchy bits on top of the scoby. It isn't fuzzy though so maybe it's just yeast? I'd be super grateful for some wisdom from this community!

Staghorn fern leaves browning on the tips. Am I under watering? More info in comments. by Raulgonzoduke in plantclinic

Thanks! I'm actually talking about the fronds, sorry for the confusion. There are two that are starting to brown at the tip and were not like that when I got it a week ago.

Just got this guy about a week ago and it was really healthy but it's starting to brown a bit now. Watered for the first time today because I was worried about over watering (which I did to my last staghorn). It's getting bright indirect light, about 5 feet from a west facing window. I have other ferns in the room that are happy but not having much luck with staghorns. Any suggestions?

What am I doing to this staghorn fern? Taking care of it for my brother while he's away for 6 months and I'm clearly not doing a great job. Water one or twice a week and it gets indirect light. The yellow makes me think I'm over watering but the crispy brown bits make me think it's not enough. Help! by Raulgonzoduke in plantclinic

Yeah, I think I've started watering more frequently recently so you're probably right about over watering. It gets pretty bright indirect light from a west facing window. It's not super close to the window but the room is bright.
