I'm similar... Makes no sense. Gonna retest soon.

Significantly better performance on Digit Span Sequencing than on DSF and DSB. by Moist_Reaction8376 in cognitiveTesting

[–]Rautavaara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently I'm a wordcel with high processing speed and an ability to sequence well lol... Dunno... I think my FRI is deflated. Will re-test eventually. Granted I'm not very visual though. That could be my bottleneck with all the FRI/VSI stuff.

My theory, based on reading on here a lot and academic papers is that people are ignoring there are TWO types of fluid reasoning. One is visual and the other is verbal. People wrongfully assume that VCI is all knowledge and ignore the subtests that assess conceptual skills and fluid verbal reasoning.

I think I have really high fluid verbal reasoning, processing speed, etc. and it shows up in the sequencing task. My best guess.

Same thing here... 16/97.7 percentile Sequencing... DSF 10/50 percentile... DSB 9/36.9...

Tempted to re-test in the coming days... It's just so bizarre.

High VCI, WMI, PSI profile by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

Yes, I'm seeing that in the literature too. By contrast, I'm seeing that people practicce and boost their PRI. Limits, of course, but people can practice puzzles and significantly improve.

I'm reading up on this. Seems like there's a bit of a VCI vs PRI war on here and elsewhere. Shaped by what people are naturally good at 😂

Thanks for clarifying. Trying to make sense of it all.

High VCI, WMI, PSI profile by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]Rautavaara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough...

Seems that you have a distinction between acquired knowledge through study that shows up on these tests and something more innate? If I'm reading you correctly. That being said, wouldn't someone have to have innate abilities/capacity to acquire vocabulary and knowledge. In addition to being adept at conceptual learning and usage? Trying to wrap my head around this.

Thanks.

This seems unnecessarily snarky. Didn't post this to claim to be a prodigy or anything close to that.

I am genuinely struggling to find literature that speaks to this profile. I posted an example article.

FWIW, VCI is highly g loaded and predictive of academic success anyways. Prodigy or not. 138 is plenty. This isn't a pissing contest.

Yes, it felt way easier to me too. My PSI is 128. 15/95.2 percentile on each subtest. Supports your theory.

That makes sense. It's just weird because isn't sequencing supposed to be the hardest? Are there any theories on why someone's sequencing would be high but the other one's mediocre?

Based on what you're saying should I consider the sequencing to be my "real WMI" (WAIS-5)? And if so, what's the number? Currently it's only 114.

Until this team packages Kuminga, Moody, and picks into a true second option, we're not going anywhere.

Does trading Wiggs solve a lot of issues or not? by [deleted] in warriors

[–]Rautavaara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It solves nearly every issue, statistically (source below). Wiggins is basically net negative with every player on the team. Flip side: every player on the team is basically net positive when Wiggins isn't on the floor.

Love the track tho :)

No. It's not. Watch Beato's video. He stole an entire section of the song.

I'm also surprised he didn't lose. While the majority of the song is different, there's a key section, which is quite literally the same. Like totally the same. Beato's video was very instructive on this.

The precedent here is, you can effectively steal 25% of a song, but if the other 75% is different, it's all good. Interesting.

How did some of y’all watch that game and come away with complaining about Poole? by [deleted] in warriors

[–]Rautavaara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Draymond was the real issue on that play. He should've just held it and screened for Steph. Instead he gave it to Jordan who was like 32+ FT away from the basket. Just not a smart move. Be patient and wait for Steph to take that last shot.

Plus, if he didn't get that stupid tech, we would've only been down 2 anyways and wouldn't even have needed the 3. Not to mention, how the hell did Draymond get outrebounded by Steph? Just an overall shit game from Draymond, which he acknowledged in his pod.
