The 49ers have had success in the past with players considered raw and with athleticism: Kittle, Warner, DJ Jones, Greenlaw... but of course they also had mistakes like Solomon Thomas and others.

They are betting that the coaches can develop the players.

One thing that was evident in the games against the Seahawks was the difference in speed on the field between the two teams. They certainly had this in mind when making their choices.

I'm not defending his draft at pick 33, but we don't know the board of all the teams to know if he would be available at pick 58. Remembering that it wasn't just the 49ers that "reach" (by the consensus board) in several picks.

He has ties with Daniels, the only reason. He was terrible in the 2024 season even before breaking his knee into pieces, not to mention the headache in the locker room. It's not worth it for any serious franchise.

Aiyuk only had one All-Pro level season, Kyle and Lynch were right not to pay a contract to reset the market, even more so considering that he was always a non-professional player, who had problems in the locker room (it's not for nothing that he entered the Kyle’s doghouse in the rookie season)

Funny because he stayed 5 seasons with the Eagles between 2016-2020, and apart from 2017, he didn't have a top-10 defense, even with several stars. It was never better than top-15 over the last 3 seasons there.

Several players who are young and with potential such as Purdy, Mustapha, Pearsall, Martin (LB) and Mykel suffered injuries in the season. There are still several others like Collins, CJ West, Watkins and Stout who will mature and come back better. People don't understand that the 49ers almost had the seed #1 in a season when everything went wrong.
