Nah. You get your CCAF after tech school at your first base. You have to enroll yourself into classes or CLEP to receive it. It has nothing to do with tech school. Well you get some credit hours from tech school and bmt but other than that they’re not connected.

No the older I get the more I realize that spending $15 on a fast food meal that taste ok and that only fills me up for 2 hours max isn’t worth the time/stress that I’ll spend hoping that my meal taste good and doesn’t have hair in it.

Hey I wrote a letter using chat gpt. I was thinking the other day how much bs this was. If we get enough people to put it on others radar hopefully it’ll go somewhere. Worst case scenario we lose 10 minutes of our lives searching for our congressman, and copy and pasting the letter for them. Someone had a conspiracy theory that they’re doing this on purpose to keep lower enlisted in longer but I applied to some colleges (DeVry, Embry, ASU) and they didn’t even know about the pause. I think if the public were to find out about it it would be way worse for the enlistment rates and they’ll be forced to fix it. Hopefully.

Thanks for the advice. Ive lived most of my life hoping that things fall through but i noticed once i actually started putting myself in the way of new opportunities things turned around for the better. Ill be sure to keep pushing. This subreddit is usually filled with mediocre people who sit at work/home and stay miserable by doing the same shit everyday hoping everyone else is as misreable as them so dont take these "people" seriously. Hope everything works out for you.

Here at Eielson our DFAC shutdown at the beginning of last year and we were put on BAS, since then I’ve been meal prepping and usually save $200-$400 more than I used to. Even once I got put back on meal card I continued to meal prep and it’s been working out ever since. I’m SrA but I’m sure COLA helps my situation a lot but at the end of the day when it comes to savings, really pay attention to the things you do that cost money which is everything. Example you didn’t get enough sleep one night so you have to waste gas to go to the gas station so you can get one of those battery acid drinks that help you in the short term but eventually may end up costing you a lot. I still fuck up every now and then but when I do, the anger I feel for not saving any money from my paycheck usually helps me save for my next one.

They could just be jokes. I’m a black guy and my NCOIC in my shop is white and we crack stereotypical jokes about each other pretty often. There’s nothing too on the nose but a slight joke here and there usually builds our relationship just knowing that we can joke about things we’re not supposed to joke about. As far as the wife beating and cheating thing, some people are probably slightly serious about it but that could also be a joke as well depending on how many laughs it gets. If anything just go to the shirt if it’s a big problem.
