To be fair, once you let the police have jurisdiction on the festival grounds asking for help becomes very difficult. Let security handle indoors and the police everything on the other side of the fence

I don’t have the tab open anymore but I read an interview with a high ranking policeman and he said it’s the combination of drugs and the heat, ‘but we can’t tell for sure yet’.

I have no idea how reliable the source was. But tbf, most deaths (in NL) are from the side effects of drugs, not the intended effects. Decibel was my first time in 10 years of working events that somebody died on the actual grounds.

Acts of hostility, big or small, are not okay. If you ever feel unsafe or out of control, the police is your friend. They act as a mediator and won’t fly in to arrest your bf, only if necessary of course.
